I understand that when I lock in +3.5 on a team & then find out the other teams star player won't be playing that's generally pretty good news for my bet.
The line in that game is now down to -2 which confirms that. We both know win/lose you're currently in a +EV spot @ +3.5 but in typical fashion u overthink it. I'm pretty sure that anybody that locked in ATL -3.5 isn't happy to hear that their star player is out & the line is down to -2

Coiner is clueless dude, every good capper knows that books are overvaluate/putting_bad_spreads when one of the stars is out or coming in, so you basically should like the play better or fade when coming back from the injury.

I wasn't even born in 1987 and I'm on Coiners side here - 1 theory is that other players step up when a top player goes down.

Also on leet's side here as well - other team tends to be overvalued with a drastic line move when a player goes down.

Obviously not fool proof, but it's a theory.

HE WAS ALREADY LOCKED IN @ +3.5 do u not understand that?? He didn't bet after the drastic line move he already had the bet down before the news broke & was locked in getting 2 more points than he should have been & also getting to play without the other teams star player.

Yes, I am fully aware of the theory. It doesn't mean I believe in it. That's just what it is a theory. Do u understand what a theory's meaning is?? It's not factual, it's a theory. Just because a team won a playoff series 30 yrs ago without their best player doesn't prove anything....lol

Answer one simple hypothetical situation. If you bet your hard earned money on say Boston -4 vs Indiana are you going to be happy to learn that 5 minutes after you place the bet Isaiah Thomas is scratched & not playing & the line moves to Boston -1.5?? Do you still like your Boston bet -4 in this spot because of some theory??

You can bet on & believe in theory's all you want. I prefer to bet on +EV. Taking +3.5 when real line is +1.5 is +EV
