Why do people always say the regular season doesn't matter?
When obviously it's an indicator of who the best teams are?

It's 1 vs 2 in both conference finals.

I mean, to say the regular season is meaningless seems pretty ignorant when you consider the best teams in the regular season typically win it all.

    Since 1979, 30 of 35 champions have been a #1 or #2 seed.

Four teams have been a #3 seed.

One team has been a #6 seed.

I think what people mean is not only is basketball play more intense, the pressure to win is much greater therefore games they lost and to certain teams wouldnt probably happen in the playoffs. Bk beating Miami 4 times in the regular season was pretty much meaningless to many especially the books.

      I agree with that.

My point is that the best teams in regular season are typically the teams playing for the championship.

Miami had a lot better than the Nets btw.

Agree with all of these points. I also think Indiana with home court is such a big deal. Indy worked all year to get to this point. I can't wait for this series. Pacers in 7.

The Pacers are going to give Miami everything they want.
