I' just read some comments from NW drivers saying they are almost flat around the whole lap, and qualy runs will most likely be the same.

In turns 2 and 4, Allgaier said, drivers could keep the accelerator mashed all the way down, because they haven't built up as much momentum coming out of the short chutes at either end of the track. In turns 1 and 3, which follow long straightaways, they had to lift -- but not much. Just a little bit to set the nose of the car, according to Hornish. "You'll definitely be pretty close to flat [out] once you get a good handle on a car," he added.

I can't help ya Opti. I thought they ran the same rules as Sprint Cup for qualy order, but it does say this at the bottom of the qual order page that you posted.

qualifying isnt determined by a draw anymore in any series

i dont even pay any attention to sessions, but im pretty damn sure about this

But even if I don't win as much thinking myself, I'm never just going to blindly tail. That's no fun for a racing fan. ;-)

I saw that too.

Not surprising really, the rule came in when there was 45 plus cars trying to qual almost every week. Now there are lucky to be 40 that can afford to do a full season. Always a few start and parker's these days.
