so road races in general have less wrecks, right? why is that? I saw on nationwide they have gravel pits rather than walls at some spots


I guess there's more room so a driver can go off road rather than hitting the wall?

There shouldn't be many wrecks in a road race, but if we have a caution with 20 or 30 laps to go to bunch them up, all hell will break loose. Espcecially at the hairpin.

watkins glen tends to have more wrecks than sonoma
