2012 SBR Nascar Challenge

I was always able to set what I felt were pretty good lineups (only week I didn't get my ideal lineup was when I had to set it several days in advance, and naturally what I would've picked did well

) until this week. This week they hiked up the price for my bargain basement guy, McMurray, so I was hamstrung a little.

Who knows, maybe it'll work out, because my ideal lineups haven't been doing so well.

I know the feeling Opti, i was able to cash a 2nd place plus my time away,so i'll only break even or lose a few. Next week we start over with Segment 2, im gonna get me some(points).

Yeah i rode that McMurray train 2, he did us pretty good for our worst driver, it was the Star drivers and Bad Damn Luck that got us.

I changed my lineup. Went from Mark Martin to Danica to Cassill and finally settled on Ragan.

Decided to make my 5th pick really bargain basement. Changing my strategy.

ah, guess I should've stuck with Cassill or Danica.

Ragan and Reutimann have been terrible this season.

The reason I went with Ragan was to fill my cap, :P Not much of an advantage over Cassill or Danica.

at least you finished ahead of me! I don't think I was even in the top 5 any of the weeks.

this week, Biffle somehow finishing 12th after being among the leaders for most of the race hurt, as did McMurray stinking it up and finishing some laps down. I don't what he did, but it wasn't good.

The most points a driver can earn in a single race is 48. If you win the race (43 points) and lead the most laps you would receive 3 bonus points for winning, one bonus point for leading a lap and one more bonus point for leading the most laps.

Good Thing i waited till this morning, when they added the 5 bonus points to J.J. (3 for winning race/1 Leading Most Laps/1 For leading a Single lap), it jumped Ryan ahead of DDT by 2 points. So Final Standings for the Segment are;

Segment #1 Winners:
RyanLeafOfBets- 1734 pts for segment
DDT- 1732
WolverineFan(Go Blue)- 1683

We also had 4 players (leadfootfred, hawk5, KC, onlooker) who were 14 points or less from 3rd, even Opti who didnt win a week finished in 8th only 36 points back.

Ryan- 1st-1140 SBR pts
DDT- 2nd- 570
Wolverinefan-3rd- 190

Yeah thats why i always like to wait for the offical results: for some reason they add the bonus for 1 lad lead right away, but they add the Most Laps Lead(1point) & Winning Race (3points) after the race is offical sometimes hours after race has ended. The figures i quoted last night were unoffical, no bonus were added yet.

Ok guys now that the all star weekend is over, its time to get ready for the next segment, gonna start a new thread this afternoon, i'll email you guys when its up. Also gonna put it in the Fantasy Forum, when we make a post in it, we'll get a Extra SBR Point for that day. Sorry starting this alittle late but didnt want to confuse anyone with all star race. Gonna give anyone who needs extra time, up to the start of the 2nd race to pay there 100 point buy in, but please let us know by race #1 that you are in.
