Dumbest rule ever. No need for it.

Why don't they make the teams get down from there metal crew stands during lightning breaks if they really think it's dangerous?

No one ever been struck in a grandstand, only in car parks when forced to evacuate into open areas! Grandstands have lightning rods to dissipate it for one.

Anyone know of any other country who thinks all sport activity needs to stop and patrons sent out into danger areas if a storm is half an hour away??

I bet its due to some dumbass insurance actuary claiming they have to do it or not be covered after the Pocono lightning incident.

Will figure out the rest of my Cup card in the morning. So far just have the Larson (+1100) win bet single. Huge help being up for the race week now, but not enough to lock that it in yet cause ill have at least that going for Cup tom. Ready for a big Sunday!

I took him for Top 3 a bit, but really didn't think he'd beat Reddick in case of such an uneventful, boring race. And for a more chaotic one, I didn't like the @15 either.

But well, let's see what next week brings, and hopefully we won't get to see this track again anytime soon.

Briscoe may be really one to watch out for if they come here again, btw, and with a better car. Good performance in the end, especially considering where his team mates ended up.

I know he has gotten better last few races, but can't trust him to win anything still here.

Prefer to miss his next win than how it feels afterward when throwing more good money after bad at him.

Watkins Glen has always been one of his best tracks, so I'd think he has shown enough to win there again. But sure, depends on what odds we get. He'll probably be the bookies' favourite (by far) now anyway.

I'd guess Larson will be fave.

McDowell could surprise with another win. Kinda sorta similar style needed at Indy and the Glen. And he was 3rd there last year.

yeah, saw on Reddit that McDowell's crew chief apparently said that he expects Watkins Glen to suit him even better. But no idea when or where he brought it up.
