THE TRICKY TRIANGLE (Pocono)--

Alright Fellas we are off to the "Tricky Triangle" of POCONO raceway this weekend where the Xfinity series and the Cup series will both be in action at Pocono..The truck series is off this weekend but will be at Texas next week Friday night...

POCONO is a 2.5 mile asphalt storied racetrack and there is not another track on the circuit like it...it has no sister track...The banking is very flat, with 14 degrees of banking in turn #1, 8 degrees in turn #2, and just 6 degrees in turn #3..There is 0 degrees of banking on the straights...

There is really no other track to compare this to for seasonal Data imo, its really a one off track...And on top of that, strategy is a huge part of these races usually, being on pit road or fuel mileage..And when u look over past results please keep in mind that this track has also lead to a ton of misleading finishes, some good and some bad..Go ahead and throw rain shortened events in there as well which I have been on the wrong end of..This is also 1 of the few tracks where drivers can make a full pit stop under green and not lose a lap which makes for all the strategy i mentioned before


Upodated my Pocono notebook and watched the last few races from here yesterday, so just wait and see openers today, but I expect more of the same really...As always, any opinions, thoughts, or picks are always welcome and encouraged around here so feel free to post them..GOODLUCK this weekend!!!

Kevin Harvick has NEVER won a race at Pocono before...and has a checkered history finishing wise


But he has finished runner-up in 4 of the last 7 races here

Kyle Busch had the car to beat both races last year leading 174 of the 320 laps in the 2 races (2 poles). Harvick was runner up to Blaney and Kyle Busch without leading a single lap. Thinking of parlaying Kyle with whichever xfinity favorite I decide to take on openers when Bovada posts assuming the odds aren't terrible compared to 5D. I'll know more once I see the entry list.

Yeah winning the race here is the hard part. Not even how good u are or lead laps. Thats why nobody has multiple wins here lately. Strategy always huge. Watched last 4 races past 2 days now. My pocono notebook starts in caps STRATEGY. Lol

I hit Blaney at almost 30-1 here last June ......

Had harvick too runner-up at 29-1 odds


came in 2,3,4,5 the 2nd race in August here because....of, u guessed it...strategy after a easy looking W..this place can dish out some painful painful result sometimes...lol...and don't even get me started on rain shortened races here1 of those ill never forget

agree, i sure hope they can get 1 at least...the king deserves better than to get swept after the the season he has put in..hes been amazing and i dont even watch basketball until playoff time

I grew up watching Jordan but after watching Lebron every game for 11 years in Cleveland I can without a doubt say he is the most talented player who has ever played the game I wont blame him when he leaves this time. The 2016 championship was the greatest sports experience of my life. I still get chills thinking about it.
