Alright fellas we are off for our first short track race of the season! It will be bumper to bumper racing for ll 500 laps this weekend...The Xfinity series has its first off week of the new year..but the truck series returns after its week off and will be racing on Saturday afternoon on FS1...The Cup race will be at an earlier time this week, Sunday at 2pm on FOX...

MARTINSVILLE is a 0.526 mile paperclip shaped track with only of banking in all 4 turns and 0 banking on the straights, so its very flat...Speed isn't the only thing that matters here, brakes are just as important and have to be conserved...This is the definition of short track racing this weekend..

I would think the cast of characters will be shuffled up a little bit this weekend with aero meaning nothing at all basically..

im still looking over early opening plays, but took just 2 sp far...still will add another 1-2, mostly probably long shots or odds I think wont be there later

Harvick +1350--in his current form ill take +1350 at a track hes won at and his current form is great

Larson +2750---ill take him anywhere at almost 30-1

debating on Blaney just off odds and Bowyer, but haven't pulled the trigger on any yet...I hope to have a parlay going from trucks so not focusing on favs at too low of odds

well, Saturday could be a wash since 5-8 inches are expected...but Sunday looks fine

If saturday is a wash tey line up by owner points without qualifying or a single lap of practice...which would be fine by me

weather looks really good for tomorrow no besides being cold as hell...Think it gets in but never know...they will run Truck after the cup race if time allows for it...if not, then noon monday

Plane departs at 11:40am ET Sunday and arrives in Sydney about 11pm ET... so I am stuffed for all Sunday racing. NASCAR and F1 Should have thought about this when booking and stayed an extra day or left a day earlier.

Can you believe Qantas has no internet service on International flights yet?? Even Delta has a pay as you go option and they are about 50% of the Qantas price usually. Pissed off about it so much I will probably avoid Qantas from now on for anything. Even domestic.
