Alright guys were off to KENTUCKY Speedway in spart la, ky .this weekend for some Saturday NIGHT racing!!!! Trucks, Nationwide, and CUP will be in action, all 3 races from Kentucky speedway Thursday-Saturday for 3 str8 races under the lights!!! cant ask for a better racing weekend than that! nice tune-up for the daytona night race the week after too

KENTUCKY is a 1.5 tri-oval racetrack...the banking is the same in all 3 turns @ 14 degrees, with the frontstretch banking @ 8 degress, and the back @ only 4 degrees....the front measures out at 1,662 feet long, and the back a touch shorter at 1,600 feet long...

remember the truck/nationwide series have been racing at this track since 2000, while the CUP just got its first event here in the 2011 season having only 1 CUP race per season...has made a differnce in the past 2 years with nationwide experienced drivers fairing very well and winning both, but other teams will catch up very quick if they havent already, being its just a cookie cutter racetrack like alot of others it wont take them long...probably a bit of both should be expected

ive already watched the few races from here this morning and still looking over my notes from both races and my driver notebooks...thinner than usual for sure, not use to a light study and light week of tape, but will be a nice change for sure

Michael McDowells car is in our shop the haul truck has a water pump out possible cracked head. The truck drivers aren't very excited they're broke down here in cheyenne wyoming need to be in north carolina tomorrow kentucky on thursday.

Couple of early notes:

4 out of the last 5 Nationwide winners have started from the front row (3 from the pole)

Only 5 cup drivers have finished in the top 10 in both cup races at Kentucky (Brad K, Jimmie, Kyle, Kenseth, and Gordon)

Denny Hamlin is the only driver to start outside the top 10 and lead more than 1 lap (5 total)

yeah nationwide has several different winners besides logano's stretch here of 3 in a row few years ago

since its a short study week of Cup, i might even put some time into nationwide this week...

Yeah hopefully they aren't too bad. Just depends for me. I think thre will be new players so bad odds for favs might just be a blessing. Just depends I guess this is 1 week I'm not sure who will be where

as Kansas and Kentucky very simular tracks

why is Kyle good round Kentucky but awful at Kansas

I'm not a huge believer in similar tracks meaning some1 is good at 1 means they are another. Just depends I guess on the driver and track. Just proves it since banking in all turns is only 1 degree difference between the tracks too. But surfaces are also a big factor imo. So many variables.

CUP practices in very early afternoon to the heat of the day........for a night race. They even do this when there isn't a race that night.

so those starting positions are meaningless if ur looking at how well any1 qualifies here...
