Alright guys, were heading out west to FONTANA for its only race of the entire nascar season....and also this will be out 5th totally different track type in the first 5 weeks of the season..after this week the schedule will start evening out, which is always good for handicappers because as with every season, it gets easier as we will have some information in our notebooks about the new Gen6 car and how teams have looked on a track type instead of going to a different type every single week...but this is the way every nascar season starts out, so its nothing new really...Fontana is also 1 of my top 5 favorite tracks on the circuit becuase they are so many grooves drivers can choose from and the different racing strategies that can be played here...the track is very wide...also is a long 2 mile track, where fuel mileage is always a possibility....

this is also the last race before the season's 1st off week for Sprint CUP for the easter holiday...no nascar series will be running next weekend...next race will be April 7th @ Martinsville where ALL 3 series will be running at the same track

Ive already started watching the past 4 races from fontana and flipping through my track and individual driver notebooks to start getting ready for opening odds..ill definatley be looking at a few drivers when odds get posted up tomorrow, depending of course on the opening odds...adding to them if they get better after sessions, but a few driver's odds wont be better priced than openers no matter what happens imo

and rememebr when looking at last years race, they only completed 120 of 200 laps because it was shortened by rain, so even though stewart won, should have an * beside it because kyle dominated that race

im not going to post any leans til i see the opening odds and make a few early wagers, but i have to choose from 5 guys i like early, nasrrow that down, and they see what the weekend brings set-up and price wise after all the sessions are complete

I'll probably glance at his opening price tomorrow but cant say for sure ill bet him early cause i have a select few i want to see odds asap when posted 1st. He has dominated in laps led over the last few years and the entire JGR bunch is looking strong thus far this season.

i do agree kyle has lead 80 of 120 laps last season here (of rain shortened race last year) to finished 2nd and lead a race high 151 of 200 laps in 2011 at Fontana....only down side is he didnt win either race he lead the most laps, and has only finished inside the top 5 in 1 of his last 8 races at Fontana......but in nascar last season i had a saying that was true about 8/10 times, and thats the dominant car that leads the most laps, usually NEVER wins the race......but kyle busch and brad keslowski are by far my favorite CUP drivers BUT that never influences my wagers and will bet against them both in h2h even if i need to....

hes just making way too many mistakes this season so far everytime he should win or has a rocketship car under him...but thats nothing new for him...he will definatley be some1 i look at, just not sure about early wagers but like i said i havent decided as ill only take 2 early probably...but cant rule him out either....just all depends on odds and see what they have moved to in past years fir openers vs after sessions

another bad thing is thay kyle B. has not won here since way back in 2005 drving for hendrick, but hey kasey kahne had not won a bristol since 'o5 season either so siesnt mean he cant or wont... and that was only short track win of his career..

and i totally agree about JGR, BUT probably my main concern is they will be run wide open horsepower the entire race at california and just hoping they fixed those engibe issues they have been having way too much this season, and ALOT of last season as well it could hurt all the JGR cars...but i dont bet scared, so that would NOT make me stay totlly away from them either...but its still something to keep in mind when weighing ur options

keep ur thoughts coming, you have been a great addition this season to the weekly thread and been making good bet selections imo....keep it up pal and keep us updated on any other though/leans...the more discusiion from quality posters is what makes us all better and this thread the huge it has been for last few years....thanks pal

engine preoblems on the tracks that are tough in a motor is defintaley still a major concern ino...but would not prevent me from taking a JGR driver by any means...and JGR is my fav team by far...just not sure who ill be on besides driver on early bets

I'll prob be on Kenseth early this week if the number is right..they are clicking on all cylinders..JJ's track # here is over 130 so if he's better than 7 I'm in on him too..

those 2 are pretty much the chalk fav picks here, hes 7 and matt 8-1 at greek now with about 4 others

dont pay too much attention any1's track #s...those can be VERY misleading...not his here because hes dominant here, but in just in general...thats a good reason to try and watch the races from past 3-4 races from each track and take ur own notes

hey, everybody uses different tools bud, nothing wrong with that....stuff that works for me doesnt work for others and vise versa...#130 is a big number

i like fontana cause of the different grooves and alot of strategy can be played there with mileage always a possibility

it gets strung out yes, but its 1 of my fav ovals still usually

hope 4 the best.....as long as we are winning, its NEVER boring!!!!
