Quick question about NASCAR rules....

If you bet head to head, say on driver A to finish higher than driver B, and for some strange reason driver B only completes 75% of the first lap, does the wager have action?

just depends Tom....each individual bets different amounts and is trying to win different amounts

whats good for 1 isnt good for all, so theres no right anwser...for me, it just depends on the odds every week...i dont restrict myself to a certain # of drivers, or a dollar amount

this race is a crap-shoot becuase its a plate race

Are plate races harder to cap because, in theory, the playing field is more even?

How much do qualifying times affect the odds, in general?

in theory yes its harder, they all run in a large pack...only 2 tracks run restrictor plate like this, dega and daytona..which is also why all the odds are so good, normal weeks odds arent close to this

practices and qualifying mean absolutley nothing here....i dont use pract/qualifying too much in my handicapping at any track, but here no1 does on a plate track

Good to know. I remember the first time I saw Taladega in person. I was driving to Texas from Georgia and out of nowhere I saw this giant stadium thing in the distance. I was in awe of how massive that place is. Beautiful.

Sounds logical. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll spread my money around at various amounts. I like dutch betting golf. Cant see why NASCAR should be any different. Sounds like you guys are pretty tuned in most weeks.

no that makes no differnce at all

and Tom, dont go by what any of us are doing, imo u really need to understand whats going on in the races and then slowly u will find out what works for u...nothing any of us do is probably gping to work the same for u

some people only risk a few hundred, and some of us risk 1000s on each race....just depends what u want

it will take years for u to learn the ins and outs of handicapping nascar, but u will get what works 4 u
