No play on Canterbury v North Harbour....Pretty crap line, don't really like anything except possibly Robbie Fruean to score a try. But NOT an official play. Canterbury will get it done, only a matter of margin and 13+ has too much juice so no thanks.
Nice write up for the BoP game Mase, feel free to post them for any game....Was gutted for you when that penalty was given just before HT, especially cause it was an idiotic play by the BoP player.
Also the over last nite was easy, nice hit on that Hawley....

It was a bad beat alright. Can't believe he nailed that kick especially at this level that was tough, 5 in from touch 40 out!
Not really sure on the next two, Northland have a bunch of points in them but can't defend. Waikato -16.5 is a big spread to cover but they're capable. Waikatos forwards should keep Northland in check more than Otago did and even then Otago won by twelve.
Ranfurly Shield games are usually very close for along time and this one could be the same. Big spread to cover for the 'Naki and Andre Taylor being out is huge as I think Baker is overated, they do have Hore on the bench but that's hardly a game changer. Hard to read into that last Tasman performance as it's about the only game each year they seem to turn up for but maybe a shield challenge will keep them at that level. Tasman to stay within the spread +13.5, if Waikato don't cover this will be a watch for me though.

What a game last night, highly entertaining bar all the errors....49-40 Taranaki....Thought they were gonna break the 100 mark for sure but for some astute (relatively lol) defence in the last quarter and Tasmans stubbornness not taking penalty goals to close the gap, quelled that unfortunately.
Auckland v Manawatu.....Auckland -13.5 2x. They should be able to bounce back nicely against a below average Manawatu side.

Strong winds in NZ again today (and a bit of rain) and it shouldn't die off to much before kick off, definitely points in it for the side playing with it behind them. It's a westerly wind which won't be perfectly behind the side with the wind but food enough for at least a first half lead if they use it wisely. North Harbour stadium is good by our standards here so the pitch will be fine but probably damp.
If you can leave your bet till the last minute and find out who's playing with the wind at their backs a first half wager would be a great bet as both sides are playing good money for a half time lead.

Over thought that one badly, wind died (not that it would of mattered) and then Harbour lose their best and probably only decent player Hobbs. This is going to be a blow out.

This is the same lineup otago have had all season, they have a lot of unheard of players that are actually top quality where as southland have a few stars and the rest are crap and when I say crap boy do I mean it. Goodluck if you take southland my moneys on otago.

couple of world cup u20s, nz sevens, and a 2011 rwc half-back from japan in otago line up.
a few decent players in southland. j.cowan's been in really bad form since last yr. his passing n running game just has not up to the stanard.

I think both teams will be quiet first half, but otago should pull away in the second.
