I too am considering middling, a 5 point swing is a lot of middle ground!

#213Yep, agreed hawley, even with home ground support behind Tonga you'd have to say Japan are a good shot to win this one.
I'm letting the bet ride.Comment -

#214Anyone else think -16.5 is going to be easy for the ABs ? France have no need to win this match. Would just make it a harder run to the finals if they won it.Comment -

France have named an average squad plus I just read the All Blacks watched a replay of their 2007 loss.
I just have the feeling, and have had it for a while they go out there wanting to smash France.Comment -

#240I actually went USA to cover... small bet 1 Unit @ 1.92 +62
Here is my analysis.
While we are on the subject of Australia v USA, might as well look into the game in more depth.
Last time these two sides met up in a World cup was way back in 1999 when the Aussies triumphed by 55-19 (points dfference being 36 on the day)
Prior to that was the fllowing outcomes:
1990 Australia 67-9 USA Brisbane
1987 Australia 47-12 Brsbane
1983 Australia 49-3 Sydney
Bear in mind that all three of the above fixtures were played before the modern point structure (try being 3 points at the time) 5 points being implemented in 1992.Comment -

#241Yep, I'll decided I'll be on the same astro! But only for an action wager to keep me going till AFL/NRL finals time.
I know it's unpatriotic but I can't stand half this Wallabies team - the wanker ratio is far too high. In fact, I think I'd go as far as to say something I never thought I'd say: I'd rather see the All Blacks get up!Comment -

LOL at allblacks comment.I know what you mean
I am not 100% confident in the USA covering, so that is the reason for just 1 UNIT... I will be punting on the AFL NRL later in the day.
Cant wait for the weekend. Full of great game.... I already have a semi erection. No viagra needed this end.
Good luck Benny boy and others...lets keep kicking these bookies square in the NUTS!
Good luck - happy puntingComment -

#244The day wouldn't be normal without astro's emoticons! Good luck guys, I have an ugly number of 58.5 on USA which I took a couple days ago, didn't think USA would name a B grade team. Oh well it's only 1 unit so no big deal I suppose.Comment -

Ireland resting a number of plays, I was impressed with Russia's second half against Italy although im aware Italy had the game wrapped up by then.
Will Ireland be able to pour on the points?Comment
