Only problem looming is the bad weather expected over the weekend.
But if you have WATSON, PHIL, COUPLES, and TIGER in the top eight headed to the weekend.....................WOW, WOW!!

On this subject, as I grow older, golf is becoming closer and closer to my favorite sport as a fan..............only college football surpasses it at this time for this observer.

Its fukking golf, not possible to match up, on any level with the major sports. Most overhyped event of the year is this particular tournament too.

Huh?
What bad weather are you talking about Fish?
You do realize....Augusta is in Augusta, Georgia, right?
The weather is going to be absolutely perfect all weekend long at Augusta.
I think he is referring to the rain, wind and tornado warnings of yesterday.

Yeah, but he said "expected over the weekend".
Who knows with Fish.

Still preposterous the way Augusta limits the television coverage... it really ruins the tournament for me personally.
Still, it will be a great weekend for golf. If Woods, Mickelson, Watson, and Couples are all in contention on Sunday it will be a fvcking riot.

And just like that Couples rolls in a birdie on 2 to get to 7-under.

I agree this leaderboard is crazy besides Phil, tiger, couples and watson you have 2 of the winners from the past 3 years in Immleman and Zac Johnson within a few shots. Then westwood and future star Kim.Ian poulter,Toms,A Scott I mean its just stacked. You couldn't write a better script then to have Mickelson and Tiger in the final pairing on Sunday.

These guys are shredding this course right now.
There are 17 guys within 5 shots of the lead right now.

Brock, I would say one of your rubberbands had snapped but I'll just say golf is an aquired tatste. If you truly understand the difficulty involved with hitting every single shot then you could appreciate it. While it isn't action packed for the thrill seeking sort it is immensely mentally challenging.
Unlike other sports where you can take a break on the bench or rally around your teammates for strength in golf it's you against the field and what's worse and even more of a challenge often times is it's you against yourself.

Sandy Lyle was -3 starting the day and when he walks off #12 he will be +10. How quickly this game can get cruel.

I am speechless.
On a side note: Tiger Woods is as Huge to Golf as any athlete ever to any sport. What a great player and tremendous asset to the PGA. If not for morals violated, he deserves to be out having affairs with many hot and sexy ladies. He has earned the privilege otherwise, putting morals aside. Geesh, I even tuned in yesterday at 1.40 PM to watch Tiger tee off. Afterwords I felt like such a dork.

Could not agree more. Can't wait to watch this weekend. DirectTV multi high def screens are awesome, if not a bit bewildering in number of choices
