Hey guys, back for another season of NRL!
2* Panthers +4 vs Bulldogs
Not a massively popular play here but I'm liking the Panthers to either keep it close or take out the win. If we look at both team's round 1 games, Bulldogs looked fantastic (though it must be said Manly were playing suicide football for most of it) while Panthers showed patches but lapses plagued them in the end. Both teams are down troops with Panthers losing Segeyaro and Moylan still at least a week away whereas the Bulldogs are minus Brett Morris and now the pivotal Lichaa. The bulldogs forward pack definitely looks menacing and the return of Klemmer further bolsters that. The panthers forward pack aren't pushovers either with the playmaking forward in Cartwright who i rate very highly and Merrin/Mckendry/Peachey. They also have a more superior halves combination and I rate the backs as fairly even. This play is more of a gut instinct which tells me the Panthers step it up and Cartwright and co. step up and rebound from their first round loss to take it up to the bulldogs.
