Like wagering on Standardbreds every now and then, especially at the Meadowlands. It sucks when your horse goes on a break though.

Any suggestions? We try to do contests, and no one plays... There are some fine handicappers that post their picks from time to time, but what do you suggest we do?

This is kind of a "twilight" point of the year before gearing up for the Breeder's Cup, and most horse sites are in kind of a lull.

Yesterday had some great racing at Arlington, but that was about the extent of any "excitement" this weekend.

Did you post that with tongue in cheek?

Course he is a bit entertaining when he's around I have to give him that much.

I think we need to do some contest that ends with the top two squaring off. Say 10 join in the 1st week and the one with the worst score doesn't get to move on, but the rest do until it gets down to just the top two remaining players.

That would be kind of different.

If I were to play it, here is how my ticket would look

If if runs as it should on paper, then I foresee a lot of people getting it today.

Hmm, interesting to see you single the 5 in the first leg.

This is what I like so far, which costs $288. Way out of my budget.

                              2,5,10/ 1,7/ 2,6/ 6,9/ 3,6,8/ 8,12

Still need to revise it. If I also single the 5, my ticket would be $96.

                                      12 wins the 4th. Pays $57.00!

Best of luck to anyone that had that horse!

well it's a good thing I didn't spend $288 on the pick 6. My 2 came 3rd and paid $7.40 to show, did any one watch the race, was it even close??
