hey hart..just curious why you liked him ..hertler was 1/186 coming in to that race in turf races over the last 3 years..on the other hand for a 2yo first time starter vs ny breds his pedigree was excellent..and he is owned by the breeder so he wasn't sold off cheaply via private sale

I just guessed ....I know the trainer has a horrible percentage but I think he works well with 2 year Olds they seem to be in shape they never win but they seem like they are coming late or going fast. And the big jockey switch to J L was key . And you always get a big price it's a shame he didn't win I hit the trifecta. Which oly paid 375. Way low. And he was bet early in the pool ...make sense. Lol .he has another horse who is going to come stage for sylvia.

by that formula I used to discuss in here the triple was actually very generous... about $520 and it paid
$750.. just looked at the chart and looks like it was a very wide trip.. JL also a big positive as you said . too bad ...i'll give it a look thanks

You mentionef he went wide. Actually he was on the rail the entire time and then when they made the turn at the top of the stretch these great jockeys looks like they slingshot around that turn go wide and just fly down the lane watch the replay it's pretty cool how he did that. JL ..

$11 win.. 18% (approximate pool %) 100/odds +1

44-1 (2nd) 2.2%... so 82% remaining (100-18)/2.2 =37 (rounded off)

$407 exacta (37 X $11)

so 82% - 2.2% or 80% (rounded) still in pool..

4-5 or .9 odds in 3rd = 58%

58%/80% =.725 add 1 =1.725 ×407 = $702 triple

so I was off by a lot...still paid more but not that much
