I believe its a grab bag race, I'm not surprised they chose to kick off the pick 6 with this race, they are basically begging for a carryover.

What has me very weary is how many people are tipping the #4 in this race, and their reasons all seem like wishful thinking more than anything tangible. Like they are hoping that it comes in much more than they actually expect it to come first.

I like the 4 but that is an awfully short price on a horse doing something for the first time, and its doesn't stand out to me as far as works, pedigree, past performances, etc. Hell even the jockey trainer combos in this race don't exactly instill much confidence

I totally agree. If that horse is still trained by Carla Gaines, it may have strong say in the outcome. And I never like sky Mesa as a turf sire either. But I may hv to include just because it is the morning line favorite and also gonna watch the tote action may be.
I like the 1 because he is trained by Canani, and with Rahy and Royal Academy as the ancestor it should be a big plus on turf. The only thing kinda concern me is Canani's first turf stat 0 for 10.

I also like the 12 if she gets in. She has been training like she is ready to run, especially the last work of 46 and change Hg. Sired by distorted humor and colonial affair. Trained by Richard mandella (one of my favorite) also helps.
