What up U.S. I'm down for Thurs. tournament. Any suggestions as far as tote activity? As a rule for contests I write down the odds at the first click of the tote board. Plus I will use overlays more so in this circumstances as well. Have you scene any patterns at Gulfsteam or Chicago in the past couple Weeks? There are a number of contestants in these tornaments that do tote reading exclusively. Any suggestions as to how to compete against them? Select on' Ultimate!Comment -

As for tips I can give ya ... it's a bit tougher nowadays without having a computer & being able to monitor different aspects of the pools & such. However the simple rule of thumb is to write down the OPEN Odds - then the 15 min then the 10 min then the 5 min & then the 2 min & then the last possible one you can get. You will then see who is either getting the money or who is back doored or who is fed slow & who is getting slammed at any point. I use to make me up a pre printed chart with all the minutes & then take a clip board & just fill in the blanks! You really need to understand wagering patterns & look for the unusual or the horse that is bet or goes against the grain! It may seem like a lot to try to encompass as you play but you will see things that will enlighten you & just give it your best shot!

Thanks U.S. I understand tote reading to a point as I have gone to the races with individuals who use these methods. Its not my personal approach to all of this, but your comments are valuable. I need to understand want some of the others may do and block them with the same picks if that is the proper tactic to use at that time. Early action can yield some nice longshot winners because it can be stable money. The fed slow tote activity is a new one for me. The late action horse isn't as valuable for tourny play because the goal is the bigger price winners. I'll post my results when I get get back.Comment -
