    Took a beating today :(
    Ouch - !

Seemed like everything I loved and played hard got beat by less than a length & everything i just liked and played small won by 5 lengths or more ...

Down lots and lots today .... worst day I've had for a long time ... time to step back and play small for a while and re-build my bank.

I normally play all over the place - wherever I can find value ... UK & Ireland races, and any of the US tracks ... only those tracks that are available on the exchanges though ... I normally play three or four strong bets each day ... and then a bunch of smaller plays - just happens that every one of my strong bets were touched off today though .... a bitch when it happens .... and even worse when they all get beat by such a short distance .. either failing to hang on - or failing to get up by the smallest margins ..... but its all part of the reason why I love the horses so much .... it'll come back to me .... just had to post somewhere though as I could feel myself wanting to chase with my smaller plays ....

Crisis over now though ... hurts when not one of the races goes your way ... but it happens ... took stock of my plays - i'd do the exact same thing again if I could have the day over .. I think I was on the right horse in each and every race I played big .... onwards and upwards.

Still can't get used to the restrictions and hoops you have to jump through to get a bet on over here .... frightening.

took a day off ... 1st bet back - beat the 6/5 fave and got done on the line by another horse .. again beaten 1/2 length .. grrr ... so it continues. its enough to dent a gamblers ego ... after a while you begin to question yourself.

we all have runs like that, it drains you mentally, its strange you get beat a 1/2 length which means you bet a damn good horse meaning your doing something right, but it for whatever reason feels better if you get beat 50 lengths doesnt it

Nah - I usually don't mind if I at least get a run from the horse .... I HATE having my money down on a horse that is obviously not there to even try .. jockey never moves a muscle and then horse just fades in the straight .... even though you damn well know its the best horse in the race ... that just pisses me off royally ....

Getting beat 1/2 length each and every damn time makes me feel even worse .... cos I know my horse is there to at least run a race .. makes you question if you are just handicapping wrong .... have I started doing something differently that I'm not aware of that is affecting the results ? ... I've had some bad runs in the last 30 years ... but this feels like someone is out to teach me a lesson by taunting me ... this time its hurting and I can't figure out why .... it seems like my strongest selections are the ones that are crapping out and that is worrying ... I generally hit these at a very high percentage and losing runs are very rare ....

I'm taking a week off ... I'm going to go back over some races from this time last year and re-handicap some races that I handicapped last year to see if i'll be on the same horse ...... I think I must have read something that I've taken on board without realizing ... or started doing something subconsciously that I was not doing before .... I don't think its bad beats - I think its my process that is screwed up .... time to go back to basics and re-build step by step till I find the one that is flawed.

I'm going to paper trade for a while and make sure I have at least a week of good results before I get back in the game ...

Good luck guys .... sorry to unload here .... you degenerates are the most likely to understand ... my wife just tells me to shut the feck up and go mow the lawn ....
