Sry to hear that.When I lose my first couple bets I become uninterested and pack it in for the day.I've been running good for almost 3 months so I was bound to hit a downswing.

Alright put extra time into this since I might have half assed the last couple days while focusing on the Saturday cards.

8-Sextant comes into this race after almost a year on the bench but Linda Rice is 27% when bringing them back off extended layoffs.She also has been working bullets in preparation for this with 2 of her last 3 works being a best 1/28 and 1/34 drills and is a generous 6-1 on the ML.5-Lights Out Lisa has been knocking on the door at this level after winning 3 back she ran 2nd and 3rd.6-Peaches is the best value in the race at 10-1 .She won at this distance 4 back and finished 2nd last race at 5 furlongs.Hoping the extra 1/2 furlong will put her right there.

Ugh a Maiden Special Weight or guessing game.4-Bayou Tortuga has been working the best leading up to this.7-Alseera is trained by Mclaughlin and 3-Cadazzle is trained by Pletcher .They both seem to have the best horses no matter how their workouts look.

5-Moontune Missy is on the short list of horses who have a chance to upset the heavily favored 2-McVictory.The 5's best race of its career was off a lengthy layoff so I'm hoping she repeats it in order to make any money on this race because McVictory is destined to go off at unplayable odds.6-Sneaky Girl looks a step slower than the other 2 but who knows she has R Rodriguez as her trainer and he always has his horses ready to go.

4-Copious Notes had good early speed in debut but faded.Adds blinkers and with a race under the belt hopefully can carry that speed today at a nice price of 12-1.6-Miss Marla is a Finger Lakes invader going 1st off the trainer change for J Terranova who is an excellent 26% with that angle.11-Jet Fever makes her 2nd start for D Ryan who is a very good yet unknown trainer to many.She adds lasix for the 1st time and at 10-1 is good value.

I might be a little biased here having bet 7-Kathern's Kitten in her debut at almost 8-1 for a nice score but the closing kick she showed off that day is a trait most top notch turfers possess.Hoping she avoids traffic and charges in the final furlong again.1-Storm Showers is another closer who I like but might be pressing my luck with too many late chargers but with Castellano aboard she is more than capable.2-Frances Gardner drops out of G3 competition and is impeccably bred for the turf.

9-Rani Baba is making turf debut but is out of an excellent turf sire and is the speed of speed here.Looking for it to wire the field assuming the break goes well.3-Boatman's Dream drops out of MSW to maiden claiming which is a very powerful angle.6-Long Gone makes the same drop in class.

I don't plan on betting this race as the 2 favorites 10-Jacky Juice and 7-Miss Odette are probably going to win and are way too short a price at 2-1 and 8-5.Maybe put them in a Daily Double or Pick 3.

On to Arlington for the best turf racing day next to Breeders Cup Day.Anyone betting this card should know Wayne Catalano horses are almost always underlays.For example in the first race he has the morning line favorite Summer Upcountry who has never ran on turf and isn't really bred for it either.Sure anyone can win but this horse is a sucker bet and even if it wins it is a terrible bet at a short price.All horses trained by this guy should be scrutinized.Just shows that even the ML oddsmaker realizes the public loves this guys horses.
