I hate to say best bet cause its such horse racing can make no sense sometimes.If I had to I'd say

Right now this horse is the 3rd choice so you should get a good price.However even the best are wrong most of the time in horse racing.

NP My advice would be learn the different levels of a races purse.Like the difference between a maiden claimer and an allowance race.A lot of times a horse will have finished well beaten in his 3 prior races but he has been dropped into a level where he will succeed.People don't notice this so he gets good odds until after he gets that win or two.
