If so,what were all the hoops you had to jump through to get it off the ground such as legal fees, background checks.etc?Did it make any money for you where you expanded the stable or was it a one time thing were it fizzled out?I picture starting out with a claimer and a cushion for feed, trainer fees-stable fees and vet expenses.Once you are in the black with a bigger cushion, maybe add another claimer to the stable.Win a 1st place purse at a track with slots and it puts a big dent in your initial expenditures.

If you have not done so, learn the ropes by becoming a partner in a current partnership. I was in one for about six years, it was a blast, we won a lot of races, not a lot of money.

Form your own partnership, and buy a cheap claimer (maybe $10-15K?)........ see if you like it, then if you do, expand from there. Find a reputable trainer, preferably midsize stable.

I'm in. Am in a few here in Australia and have shares myself. Would love to do this if you'd consider a 'foreign' investor.

oh hell ya...one thing ..I am pretty sure that most if not all people that are associated with horses are gamblers how bad would the odds be if most (again) if not all the people in the SBR syndicate betting on 'our' horse would cripple the odds ...shoot with the gamblers here the horse would probally be the favorite every time out..lol

Everyone staggers their bets for a couple of days and then slams the books at the same time right before the race begins. At least that's what we do.

i am not sure if everyone is on the same page. By syndicate i think the OP meant a horse racing partnership where a group would maybe claim a cheap horse that we would expect to move up in ranks.
