Holy Sh!t, if the rest of the season can keep up like this. Nailed the $9.80 winner along with a nice $15.00 place. Add to that a HUGE $130 exacta! And hitting the $75.80 pick 4!!! Not a bad start to the saturday.

How to read BGboothA's picks

I got a PM from someone asking me how I list my picks and why are races listed differently. And since I just got back from a sexy day at ED, I thought I would type it up real quick.

I really like to focus my betting on horizontal picks, meaning mostly pick3's, pick4's and DailyDoubles. I also play many of my picks as exacta wheels or boxes. I don't play many straight wins or places and rarely will I play a show unless the tote board forces me.

I list each race starting with the horses I think will win, some times its only a single horse with three horses listed as Exacta pools. Those would be the races that I single on my horizontals as well.

So for instance in Race 1 on April 10th, I listed the picks of "Race 1 - 2 w/ 3,5,4 ". When I bet this race, I bet an exacta wheel just as it is listed. Along with singling the 2 in my pick4.

The second race was a little different, instead of having one horse that I thought had a shot to win the race, I saw two that stuck out to me, Race 2 - 1, 3 w/ 6,2 = Meaning, I would have included the 1 and the 3 in my pick3s and pick4s. I also would ExactaBox these two horses.

There will always be four horses listed, don't ask why thats just the way it goes. Occasionally there will be a race listed with picks that don't have a w/, basically that breaks down to "I HAVE NO FREAKIN CLUE", if I was going horizontal I may use all four or I may hit the all button, it really depends, those are also races where I go get a beer and food, because I don't bet any exacta's on those.

The only WPS bet I make will be on my (longshot) bet of the day. Really I am sure that in the long run, I have lost money on these, but what the hell they are a buttload of fun when they hit.

From what I have seen thus far (its only been two nights mind you) the late kickers aren't getting much anywhere.

Strong bias leaning toward the front runner and inside posts. Keep in mind, we have seen a total of 15 races at ED thus far and many of the favorites have been front runners with inside posts. So these are pretty skewed.

That being said, I will put a little more uummphh behind a couple of strong front runners tomorrow.
