LK good pull on the Cigar video.
Another one of my top ten ponies of all time.
I was too young to remember Big Red's triple crown.

Yeah, I was eating, sleeping, shitting, and playing baseball since I was six.
              Still is my main passion.

              You were born in '85?
Damn I got almost two decades on you.

Nice posts and videos here LKid.

There are so many memories, such as John Henry, Cigar, Gentlemen, Fusaichi Pegasus, Silver Charm, Northern Spur. The list goes on and on.... I'm sure everyone has their favorites. One of the most memorable race for me was the 1999 Belmont where Charismatic suffered a race ending injury during the stretch run. To this day, I still wondered if he could have been the first horse to win the win the Triple Crown in 20 some years. Right after the finish line, Christ Antley jumped off the horse and was holding his left front leg to prevent further damage. I thought that was most courageous and heart felt thing for the jockey to do. It was so sad to watch, but at the same time, I got back one of the biggest exacta and trifecta payout for less than $20 wagered ($2 ex box 2,4,6 and $1 tri box 2,4,6). That race has stuck in my mind forever.... RIP Antley and Charismatic.
