Horse Trader came in 3rd. Final result 6-3-7.
Wgered $200 W, $300 P, $400 show. Will post ticket later. I lost $480 on this race.
#6 came out like a rocket. My #7 Horse Trader tried to stay with him but got boxed out and ran last most of the race. He went three wide into the stretch and closed nicely but got nipped out of 2nd place.
You were correct JBEX... As good as he is, Horse Trader had trouble coming out of that last #7 post. He has a big motor and a late kick but needs a good post position.Comment -
just watched the replay golden goose.. port perry out to an easy lead and went unchallenged on the front..tough to win coming way off the pace under those conditions..looks like you missed 2nd by a nose but winner much better..i actually meant I liked him better from the outside posts but really not enough of a sample to determine that...i'm pretty sure a bet like yours is too big for the show pool there..ht and pp shouldn't pay $2.10 without a big bet.. you're just going against yourself with a bet like that.. he's only 2 years old and have a hunch he's talented based on the pp's and what the owner turned down for him.. I'd continue to follow and keep it to win and place bets.. now they'll be some value to be had with him.. also imo at those odds I'd concentrate more on win then place.. not trying to be mrknowitall.. just my opinionComment -

one cool thing with Harness and for the faithful followers is the big horses do travel to smaller circuits as purses are big. Like tonight Big boys are all at Hoosier downs for few big racesComment -

np..glad you had it..you had the big price in the middle leg. ..I did the parlay in my head and it was only about $350 if I did the math right...so close to a 400% overlay...those things can happen in those shallow poolsComment -
so is there a limit on odds and payoffs at offshore books on tracks like yonkers, meadowlands and woodbine/mohawk? obviously it probably varies by the book.. thought I've heard it's how much you can collect per race and not limits on the exotic payoff amounts themselves.. for the quality of racing at yonkers the pool sizes are a joke.. understand this wouldn't affect the average small to moderate bettor a lot but to me it's still a turn offComment -
