Going to be a great day of racing, the weather looks to be helping out at all the major tracks today as well.

I will be playing a number of tracks all day but will likely be focusing on AQU, GP, TB and SA this afternoon.

I have to go man a Girl Scout Cookie booth this morning, but I will be back.

So what does everybody like today?? Kentucky Derby Prep races?? I only have Santa Anita's PP so I can only chime on a few that I have looked at.

Race 7- The San Felipe 1 1/16 on dirt. It is hot her in Los Angeles. Wonder how will the track play out?? Speed, speed and more speed??
On paper, 3- Dortmund seems like the obsvious choice, but I think I will try to beat him. His last two races were won by a head and his last one after a short layoff had to fight back to win. Maybe he is all heart, I don't know. But I will try to beat him today and maybe his first lost. I like the 10- Pain and Misery. His Beyer figure is a little low compare to the top guns, but at the same time he hasn't been stretch out yet. He has show that he can rate which I really like because I think there should be a few here that will gun to the front. Also, 2nd off layoff, turf/dirt, sprint/route, all these angles are positive for trainer Richard Mandella (who is one of my favorites). Given the ML at 15-1, I will take a chance to see this horse can run or not. $25 WP on the 10- Pain and Misery. As always, GL all.

Have only looked at the TB Derby so far today.

Looking at carpe Diem around 8/5, Ocean Knight around 5/2, and Danzig Moon around 6/1.

Alright just got home from Girl Scouts to see that I am down but just barely with the conditional bets I had put in before I left.

Some thoughts on the big guys...I have complete thoughts in their perspective threads...but

TB derby - Carpe Diem will be tough to beat, and no value...I likely won't play this race, unless I can get crazy price on Ocean Knight or Danzing Moon.

Gotham - I will likely be playing a lot of Tiz Shea D unless for some reason he is bet down. May also look at the 1X Uninfluenced if I can get a price.

San Felipe - Will be playing Ocho3, only worry is the layoff, if he can return to form he will win. I will also be playign a crapload of exotics without Dortmund. I think there is some serious value there and I don't like Dortmund.

Tiz Shea D, held on for second after an impressive run by El Kabeir who was clearly the best. All good, the WPS Ladder still showed a nice $31.60 profit on TSD so I can't complain

I think the 4- Conquest Two Step is a legit favorite. Gonna key him to the pick 3.

Yeah it was a tough day...Ring Weekend won at a decent price for me, bit with all that chalk and missing the pick4 it was definitely a down day.
