did the trainer purchase the horse at auction for 30k or was she bought privately after the auction ?

My understanding is bought at the auction and the trainer is part owner

Race results. The Second Burst took off great out of the gate with 1/4 in 22.4 and 46.8 1/2 and looked like jockey was pacing her constantly glancing back at rivals but
got passed by the favorite trained by Ausmussen and finished 2nd

looked tired final furlong but good start in my opinion

well this really sucks- first race and she gets claimed....reason for the drop from 30k to 12,500 was a chip in the knee area so the plan was to try to sneak her thru and maybe catch a purse or two in spot places as it heals

well hopefully the next one will get to run for a while

Looks like couple months before this 2 yr old colt is heading to the Catalano barn for training. At least the Triple Crown races will tide me over while I wait for him to get into race shape

interesting that both Saratoga Valley and The Second Burst have not run since both were claimed in march 13 and April 1 respectively

The two, year olds are all getting ready to race. seems like forever since we had a horse run but its all good

Today at Parx Race 7 Bella Bambina gets her first start in 6.5f msw for fillys trained by Graham Motion

shes been acting up in the gate and it took long time to,get her gate card
she get post 10 of 11

expectations are tempered for this race but its still exciting

No Lie has made it Wayne Catalano's barn in New Orleans. No Lie is a big powerful looking horse.hopefully with some talentbut time will tell

Bella Bambina ran a distant 4th beaten 14 lengths as the post time favorite-- likely due to trainer name

Disappointing update today..my 2 yo colt "No Lie" was found to have a chip in knee after first breeze at Fairgrounds ..will need to have removed next week and recovery time unknown

Updates:'"No Lie" had chips removed from both knees ...simple procedure no fractures just time off to recover which is great news

"Bella Bambina" trained by G. Motion lookin at next start around Dec 16 another 6f dirt race.

She may be suited for more distance in time with Sire Twirling Candy winning at 6.5-9f on 3 surfaces.
Cant explain why but have this gut feeling shes gonna be a turf horse.

well more wonderful news on our horse front...Bella Bambina tore a tendon and needs a lengthy recovery.
Good new (for real this time) sounds like she will be fine but crapshoot if she can make it back to the track.

Unfortunate, definitely disappointing with every horse coming up with an injury but it is what it is so time to figure out when to get back in the game.
