#634TA, i was very much surprised when i saw your post regarding AFL, as i am an Australian and a passionate supporter of it. AFL is lived and breathed here in Vic, and i cannot wait until the football season starts. I suppose you trying to find information on AFL is like me on the NHL, but of course it is a lot easier for me...Espn.com is extremely good. Do you sportsbet on AFL? Or is that option unavailable/very rare. I find that AFL is very easy to win money on.
I know it's not "normal" to enjoy AFL here but I find it entertaining. I don't know all the rules or scoring but when I get a chance to watch it I do in hopes of learning it well enough to put $100 on it. Right now I don't so I won't. Besides it's nice to be able to watch a sport and not be concerned about the score.Comment -

You're right, a win is a win is a win and they can't take it away. Second half of the season is just around the corner. The break is a good time for all little nagging injuries to heal, so it should provide a higher level of play (in terms of quality not wagering). BOL the remainder of the season.Comment -

#637NHLtv
to watch all games I use the nhl.com website, its about 20 bucks a month and you can watch all games live as they happen. The delay is minimal between live tv and the stream being about 1-2 seconds so its basically live. I matched it up on the bruins game while skyping my girlfriend in boston who was watching it on tv at the same time. Its basically the NHLs version of MLBtv. It also gives you the option of tiling (watching concurrently) up t 4 games at a time. Check it out. Have a great day all.Comment -

#642Seeing that we're on a break basically until Tuesday the 27th, I thought I'd post a few thoughts on who I believe are the five best teams that have a chance to win Lord Stanley this season.
1. SJ: Playing like they're on a mission and very focussed at home.
2. BOS: The team to beat in the East but might not make it to the Finals.
3. DET: They need to pick ONE goalie and ride it out. By going with two it tells me neither can get the job done alone - much like a team using a pair of cubes.
4. CHI: This may surprise and or upset some people here but they have shown they can play with the "Big Two" in the West and could be scary come playoffs.
5. MON: Currently they're playing well enough to win games. Give them an opponent for a series and they will improve. If the Bruins leave early the conference should go through them (MON).

#645Sharks have shown time after time they can't win @ playoff time.
Chicago has yet to beat Detroit this season...still a young team, interesting come playoff time
Detroit is having goaltending issues...as usual of late.
Boston seems to have a clear shot in the east, but also have had playoff issues.
To me, there doesn't seem to be a favorite yet. But until proven otherwise, I'm going to stick with my Red WingsComment -

#652A few weeks back San Jose looked unbeatable but then went to Detroit and lost 6-0. Chicago was on a 9-10 game win streak then had a home and home against Detroit and got swept. It was a big win for the Sharks against the Wings last week but Detroit still dominating San Jose, Calgary, and Chicago this season. Conklin is a good goalie and splitting time will keep him fresh for playoffs. Detroit easily the best in the west.Comment -

#655I'd like to see Pavel continue to school the league and work his way up the point leader board...because if he does this, the wings will continue to win.
I'd also like to see Chi-Town make the playoffs again =]
And win some cash while these things happen hahaComment -

#661I feel the same way about the Bruins. Cashed a ton on them with their home streak and then the 2 home losses in a row really made me hit the skids. More and more the PL for the Bruins in risky, IMHO, and hopefully the ML starts deflating because BOS is coming back down to earth.Comment -

The fans since they get to see the leagues "best". Don't like that one. No problem, let's go with the books or your local. They realize people are Jonesing for some pucks and pushed the lines just a pinch to get every last possible cent from players. While not a large fan of prop wagering I might put a little into play and have something for the game. BOL with your prop action.Comment -
