Would You Hedge ?

Have the Blues on the closing end of (2) different 3 team parlays @ $100 each.

Basically I have $200 riding to win $830 if the Blues win. Could be a $1000 swing in my account. My account is strong and I had a great day, but it is the playoffs and the more firepower the better.

I almost never hedge, but money keeps coming in on the Blues. I can get the Kings now +145. I really like the Blues tonight and have a nice leveraged play. The gambler in me says let it ride. My common sense side is saying, put $400 on the Kings to win $580.

It almost goes without saying that If you do nothing, the Kings pull a miracle. Hedge with the Kings and the Blues win. What would you do?

The Kings know all they need to do is win just 1 in St. Louis to regain home ice advantage in this series. They either win tonight or Monday, maybe even both. The 6 days of rest for the Kings will be interesting to see if it'll hurt them or not. This game and series could very well go either way, but at +145 I'm riding with the Kings tonight.

To answer your question I would definitely hedge especially a game 1 of a playoff series. Like I said this game could go either way, so guarantee yourself some money instead of risking that $1000 swing in your account.

Good points. Still back and forth. I really was impressed with how the Blues took care of San Jose. The Blues lost that opener in OT and just have a gut feeling they will be more than focused tonight. The Blues powerplay is deadly, McDonald looks sharp and they play defense. On the otherhand, Dustin Brown is dangerous and Jonathon Quick could easily be a beast in net tonight.

I knew the Blues were going to take care of the Sharks pretty easily. The Blues have a ton of skill on that team and you can argue they have the best 1-2 goalie combination in the entire league. Both Elliot and Halak are capable of stealing a game for their respective teams. But the same could be said against Quick who was the biggest reason the Kings beat the Canucks. I honestly don't know who is going to win this series, its a coin flip. I just really like the price on the Kings tonight at +145. They're coming in to tonight's game on 6 days rest and have a ton of confidence just knocking off the President trophy winners. If the Kings do win tonight, my money will most likely be on the Blues in Game 2.

But for you sake I would definitely consider hedging, but good luck with whatever you decide.

Hindsight is 20/20 , but this would have been a brutal beatdown. Here's the other side. I rarely bet parlays because they will kill you, but I'll throw dollars at them when I'm on a hot streak. I was on the Bulls, Bulls Over and the Heat today, straight up. Mixed these hockey plays in for kicks. Had a big day. Might be finally getting a bit smarter with this and firepower always allows extra opportunities with playoffs, live betting, going forward.
