There are no stupid questions... No the shootout doesnt count towards totals. So if it goes 2-2 into overtime.... theres no way it can go over. Good luck and I like that play too.. predicting a 4-3 Dallas win

If it goes to a shootout, the winner of the shootout gets credited with 1 goal.

You can also play "1st 60mins". So no OT or SO goals count. Whatever happens in Regulation is it.
