Wallco NHL GOLD (+453 units in 6 years) -
Sportsbook Review Forum
Yes Kev and hagball that was my question indeed. My point was, in reality no gambler will be able to match the final odds of ScoresandOdds.com all the time. So as i am impressed by the results showed (+453 units in 6 years is impressive) it is not what gamblers will achieve, but maybe it is possible to do better than that if you manage to catch better odds.
And as i am typing this, I checked on oddsportal a few matches from last night and it is possible to match better odds when catching the late odds of Pinnacle anyway (right before the game starts), so good news it is
Good luck for the rest of the season.
PS: sorry english is not my first language.

v2 Plays (A) 11-9
(B) 8-1 (C) 0-1 Losses: DAL (-14.70 u)
Games for (12/3/14): #63 St. Louis (+1½) @ Chicago v1(A)(7:35 pm EST)
Note: The lines I have listed were the current lines at the time of my post and may not reflect the final lines used to determine wins & losses, or line changes later in the day. Get proper line if different than the one I have posted, based on the criteria that I have listed below.
Do not place any wagers on teams unless you are sure your team is the dog or favorite. The team underlined and highlighted blue is the team we are betting on, regardless of v1 or v2. If you play the closer line games too early, you may be overpaying for a loss if you play the P/L and should have been on the M/L, or lose a game that you would have won had you been on the (M/L) instead of the (+1½). We will always play the M/L if the team we are betting on is the M/L favorite or in games when the line is (-110/-110) or (-105/-105), and always play the (+1½) if the team we are betting on is a M/L dog. ALL results will be based on this principle. If it is a close line game, you may want to wait til closer to game time to place your wager so you know whether or not we are on the (+1½) or the (M/L). You may need to buy the alternate line (+1½) on occasion if the M/L dog team we are betting on is the (-1½) team with your individual book. All lines and standings are based on FINAL lines from ScoresandOdds.com/. If one of the teams we are playing switches from a favorite to a dog, or vice versa, after my initial post, make sure you get the appropriate line if it differs from what I have posted. The wins and losses will be based on who is the M/L dog team on ScoresandOdds.com/ final lines. System rules and backtest can be found in posts #4197 & #4198.

I was really excited about tonight as I thought we might be a half unit up and in the black. But looks like it will have to wait till tomorrow. The blackhawks are scoring at will in the 3rd period.

To clarify, the bet would be Tampa Bay (fade Buffalo). But yes, I agree. As unlikely as it may seem, Buffalo won their last 3 again.

I'm skipping it. If by some miracle Buffalo wins 3 more it could be approaching a 100 unit loss. They play Florida then Kings at home. Very winnable games especially considering they're one of the hottest teams in NHL right now.

Its very unusually for Wallco to skip a game like this. Perhaps its due to the -365 juice that I just laid down. (and this is 5 dimes reduced)
I don't think I ever seen the odd makers make such a juicy line on the ML. This is even much bigger then most PL's. They must NOT be impressed with Buffalo's 3 win streak.

I don't think he would intentionally miss any game, we have paid similar juice for plays earlier this year.

On PL's that sure is true. He is probably just busy today. I plan to watch the game to see if its as big as an upset as its suppose to be.

Hey Wallco,
I've been checking up on this system every week or so since the start of this NHL season, but this is my first post. I have an idea (haven't done the math) but I think it may be more profitable.
Have you checked the math on how your system would do if you didn't chase any of the games, but you just bet 1 unit outright for each of the system picks? I see that you'd be 61-33 overall. I know these aren't even money bet, but I think you'd still be profiting and would have much less risk.
I'm pretty new to sports betting so if I'm completely wrong, I apologize lol

No, the majority of the hockey wagers are in the -200 to -300 odds range, not all, but a good amount. Don't think it would venture too well in a 250 plus plays season.

Considering Dallas Stars last 4 games, which is 0-3-1, 11-20 goals, Im kinda sure that they will be dog pretty soon. Montreal is much better team, even if they lost 5 of last 6..

Dallas will remain the favorite (its at -127 now). You will just have to accept that. Now on the Calgary/Sharks game, it may flip, as its -107/-103. I'm going to keep my eye on that one before betting, specially since its not for 10 more hours.
Actually on 5dimes, it has flipped. On reduced its sharks favorite, but (-110/-110) non reduced. However, on the one that matters, scoresandodds, calgary is favorite.
Unless you are too busy later to place a bet, I think i'd hold off on that one. Lines really moving.

Hey Wallco. I started following your thread this week and gave your system a try. Yesterday I faded the Sharks as I was supposed to, however when I made my bet the Flames were still favorites and I couldn't wait until gametime because I wasn't home for the night. So I took the ML, and saw this morning that the live moved prior to gametime and of course the Flames lost by 1 goal... What should I do now? Should I take the loss or should I continue the series and fade the Sharks again today? They're playing a home-and-home against the Oilers for their next 2 games... Ugh...

The same happened to me, and probably a few other folk as well. Wallco's system does not cater for games after a series has concluded. We are now on our own and we have a choice to either use our own individual judgement and continue with the "series" hoping for the best, or simply let the lost money go. I'm letting it go.

Seems to happen from time to time. On 5 dimes you can buy points and get Winnipeg Jets +1.5 at -310.
I have that one and jets ML -110. (did this when they was the favorite).

Damn Winnipeg. I bet right before game time and got even odds (-105 / -105), which translates to M/L. How can they keep moving the line after the game starts?

Wallco thank you for all you provide to the boards. I had a quick question... i am sure you already researched this but did you ever run any models running the opposite of the current NHL Gold by tailing the streaks until they end? For example one a team wins or loses three in a row, keep betting the streak till it runs its course? What did you find on the results?

I can't answer this BUT I can say ultimately you will mostly always win as the streak will end. Only exception might be if the season ends on the steak. Then I guess you could continue it next season if you wanted.
HOWEVER, if you decide to keep going, you better have a very large bankroll in relation to your unit size. I personally did a (D) bet once, and luckily the (D) came in for me. But if it didn't, I would have had to have the (E) come in or I would have lost the bankroll. As you can see from the results this year, losing a (C) can be -27.08 units or more. And it goes up exponentially (nearly) with each extra game.

I would guess a lot of people had this problem, not only with this game but the previous game as well. It goes in the win column for the system but the loss column for everyone's wallet who used bookies or online books that are not scoresandodds.com

I was actually asking what if instead of the system was to play for a streak to end what if the system was to play a streak to continue on. For example, a team wins three in a row and we play that team until it loses.
