    Best NHL handicapper??
I am pretty new to SBR..I'm just wondering who would you guys recommend tailing for NHL picks? The reason I am asking now is because I bet all 4 major sports, therefore I want to see how much money I'm going to need to set aside once the NHL season starts...I'm a pretty heavy gambler and need someone reliable. Please don't recommend that I cap games myself. I own a business and really don't have time to handicap myself.

I would really appreicate it if you guys threw out some names and possibly links of success? Thanks

There isn't one. Anyone who say they are is lying.

Do you have any documentation from last year or previous years?

If you´re not able to cap the given sport yourself, stay away and don´t bet it. Or tail just occasionally big plays of someone really trustworthy, but bet them only as a regular play, no high units. I can understand asking others for opinions or advice and discussing picks. Nothing wrong with that. But tailing someone blindly is beyond me. You wrote you´re betting all 4 major sports. So stick to one or two that you´re good at and ignore the others. Anyhow, if you do insist on tailing someone, keep an eye on Dennis Green´s thread, he seems to know his job quite well.

You can't handicap NHL the same way you can cap other sports. Far too much variability and goalies dominate the day (good and bad).

What the NHL does have going for it is some absurd odds for underdogs. It's definitely a sport that can be beat, but its more about knowing the sport inside and out than any particular strategy.

Agree, it's not so much about stats as it is having a vibe and really know what's going on with particular clubs and how they are playing......

NHL capping is unique. Example, the Toronto Maple Leafs do poorly at home on Saturday, because opposing team players know it's "Hockey night in Canada" a national broadcast where pretty much half of Canada sits down and watches. It's like a weekly mini super bowl for Canada. Half the kids on opposing teams grow up in Ontario, so all their family comes to the games on Saturday when they are in town. Everyone plays harder against the Leaf's that day. This isn't a stat, just an emotional mental part that goes into Hockey betting. A lot of capping is more so mental attitudes as opposed to team stats.

The Leafs are screwed every Saturday night at home. Always bet against them, you'll win 80% of the time. Stats go back 80 years. You could even martingale the Leaf's losing on Saturday and never get past the 4th bet. They have not won 4 Saturdays in a row at home in 80 years.
