[D3 Mighty Ducks]

This thread was created purposely so I can track my plays and it might end up being beneficial for everyone. Build up quite a bankroll over the NHL regular season and the first few weeks of MLB. Let the madness begin.

Feel free to voice your opinions as I can learn from you just as you can learn from me. Leans/picks for tonight game will be posted shortly.

Futures:

Red Wings to win the Western Conf. +525 ($100 to win $525)

Bruins to win Stanley Cup +820 ($100 to win $820)

Red Wings with so much experience in the playoffs, you can never ignore them and for the last 2 years I've made future bets on them. As for the Bruins, I really think they're the strongest team in the East. They have the clear cut Vezina Trophy winner with Thomas, a tough defensive core and 4 solid depth lines offensively. Can't ignore them to win the Cup at +820.

Series Prices:

New York Rangers over Washington Capitals +185 ($50 to win $92.50)

Buffalo Sabres over Philadelphia Flyers +142 ($50 to win $71)

Basing both these series picks mainly on which team has the clear cut #1 goalie. So often we see goalies standing on their heads and are able to single handily win playoff series. We saw Cam Ward do it a few years back which he was rewarded the Stanley Cup and last year Halak for Montreal was superb who helped carry them to the Eastern Conference Finals. Both Ryan Miller of the Sabres and Henrik Lundqvist of the Rangers have that potential to help carry their respect teams past the first round. On the other hand, Flyers will look to counter with a rookie goalie making his playoff debut named Bobrovsky and the Capitals will be rolling their dice with unproven goalie Neuvirth.

Its tough to put money on who wins Game 1 of the series with so very little information available on how each team will plan to shutdown each others top lines, match-ups, power play etc. Going to take a stab at these three totals tonight and lets hope they pay out. I'm on the fence about the Blackhawks/Canucks over. I think Luongo and Crawford will continue to goaltend like their lives depended on it and I wouldn't be shocked if it was 3-2 or another game like game 1. Granted, the O/U is 5, but i'm not convinced the over will hit.

All I can say to you is if you don't feel confident in a play then don't play it. Theres nothing worse than playing an Over and your stuck watching a 1-0 hockey game. I like the Over 5 because I do think each team can mustard up 2 goals each. That put the total at 4, the 5th goal now can either give me the push or 2 more goals can give me the Over 5. Not quite sure why this total is 5, definitely think this should be 5.5.

Since the end of Game 1 I thought this total would be set at 5.5. Getting it at an even 5 is even better, i'll take the juice.

I like the Under in the Rangers/Caps had an eye on that today for awhile but decided not to play it. I have no opinion on who takes game 2 in the Black Hawks/Canucks series. It could go either way but you have to take the home team in a close game.

I like the under in the Rangers Caps, playing that and small parlay Rangers and the under. I like Van tonight, in regulation, best bet of the night IMO. They are on a mission and it is full speed ahead right now.

Although the Caps have improved their defense this year giving up less goals, I think a low-scoring game favors the Rangers. The Rangers thrive off winning low-scoring 1 goal games. They almost stole game 1 but Ovi stabbed Lundqvist and the Rangers forgot to show up for OT. Like that parlay odog, good luck.

These fukking Bruins are turning into the newest members of the "choke in playoffs club"..bunch of pricks. But can't ignore how well Montreal has been playing defense in both games of the series thus far.

Thats its for today boys. Missed out of the value with the Caps opening at +115 but I think they go up 3-0 and Rangers take game 4. Then the Capitals take the Game 5 at home and the series. Books giving us another 5 in the Canucks/Black Hawks game, just like Game 2 I'll make them pay. Not going to hammer it but the books are juicing it up to -133 trying to scare off the casual bettors. Both teams are in desperation mode. I cannot believe the Bruins are going into Montreal down 2 zip, but it is what it is. The Bruins are favored here for a reason and its because they're the better team. Two great defensively played games by the Canadiens and you have yourself a 2-0 series lead in favor of the underdogs. Bruins need to take this one tonight and the price is fair in my opinion and its 3x wager for me.

Had a lean on the Coyotes ML but the PL really caught my eye at +262. Another desperate young team who have shown that their able to hang around with the Wings but weren't able to steal one on the road. Returning home may be what swings this series in favor of the Yotes. This game could very well go into the OT, but I'm taking my chances on the PL. Lakerboy helped me confirm this wager with him being on the same side. Hoping for a clean sweep tonight, lets go!
