Bruins vs. Islanders

What does everyone think about this game?

Boston has lost 3 games in a row. This is tied for their longest losing streak of the year (they lost 3 in a row one other time back in mid December).

They played the Islanders in December and won 5-2.

Their past 5 games Boston has allowed 2, 6, 6, 4, and 4 goals.

Allowed 2 PPGs against Toronto. Allowed 2 PPGs against Detroit. Allowed the only goal (besides the empty netter) against San Jose on the PP.

Both these teams are penalty prone, the Islanders with 4 and 5 in the two games since the Pittsburgh game.

The over seems like a decent bet with Boston's sudden lack of defense and goaltending and the Islanders sudden ability to score... or maybe Boston will get their stuff together...

I'm just going through some of those numbers...Until you get to the injuries I would go with NYI. I really don't understand how they can pull off some of those wins (minus the gong shows). I'll likely be off but NYI very well may capture Thursday. Cheers

Like the over as well. Boston's defense right now is a revolving door of mediocrity, and the goaltending is crashing right back down to earth. Meanwhile, Boston is still scoring goals, they just can't stop anybody. Love the over right here. Good luck!

Might as well play nyi at this price
I'm going to take a chance at riding the streaking underdog and play the over... Maybe even boston tt over 3.

Bruins have all kinds of defensive and goaltending issues lately, Isles have young team with very young goalies, I played the over 5.5.

Would not touch the ML. If you had to play something it would be the Over 5.5 but the fact that everyone seems to be going on it should ring some alarm bells as a potential trap...

I'm an Isles fan but I expect the winning streak to come to an end tonight. Boston are stronger on the road than they are at home and teams that have had a successful road trip usually lose their first game back at home - this is a strong trend and I can see the "let down" tonight..if Grabner and co continue to fire the Isles have a chance but I think the Bruins will prove too good come the end. The Isles have had a tough, congested schedule too lately so I think the Bruins will be the fresher team also.

I recognize Isles as the best underdog tonight. Bruins defense against Isles goaltending.
I am leanng to bet on the Over 1.5 first period coz they both would like to take this one.
