Question about point spread and ml

Spread - Canada -.5 +109
Russia +.5 - 129

ml - Canada -143
Russia - +123

What's the difference in picks? Canada win for +109 or Canada win for -143? I don't understand...

my guess, the -.5 spread is for regulation and OT, Canada wins by shootout, bet loses.

No, because there is also a "Canada wins outright" bet and these bets I'm asking about are under "all games 60 minutes unless stated otherwise"
