yeah i have definately faded Oilers on many occasions. they are certainly the worst team in the nhl at this point. that said, they are bound to get a win one of these days so i would be careful.

Tons of money to be made on pretty much any decent team at -1.5 vs the Oilers!

books never even seem to adjust lines according to recent performance. they are always at a shitty price too (+120 tomorrow). i only played against them once when they were on the road in san jose.

Oilers are cold as ice (1-20 in last 21 games or something like that) but I won't be surprised if they win their next game. (vs Hurricanes iirc)

I don't think tonight will be the night they break out. Carolina is hot right now.

they weren't that bad when the season started. Things kind of fell apart after that.
Next to last in the West is Columbus, which has 15 more points. 15!
This team was 15-13-4 at one point.
Since then? 1-18-2. This is one of the worst stretches in the history of the league.
They've been outscored by 45 goals during that run, by my count.
Oh, and 14 of the 21 games were at home.
Strange part is that they're claiming sellouts for every home game.

Must be similar there. I would guess a lot of it is season tickets that were already sold. Usually teams have a lot of individual game tickets to sell, though, and I can't imagine many people are buying Oilers tickets considering the way the team has laid down and died.

Allow me to translate.
"Should I go all in on the Carolina Hurricanes?" (based on the premise that Edmonton is awful)

Definitely would not go all in on Carolina. Sure they've been red hot and the Oilers have been ice cold but they aren't a good team. I do have a 2 unit bet on Carolina tonight though.

Wanted to point out that the Canes (although hot) are the very worst road team in the NHL.
Recent 4 game win streak includes NYI, NYR, BOS (all struggling mightily) and the Blackhawks who are 6-4 in their last 10, which is basically struggling for that club too.
I'd have to support caution towards Carolina tonight as their recent play could be contributed just as much towards good fortune in opportunity as good hockey play by their team.
