The Blackhawks are a tough matchup for anyone not simply because ‘they’re good’ but because they’re so good at both ends of the ice. They can win with defense, or play their preferred style and kill you with speed and offensive skill. Vancouver is one of the few teams in the NHL that matches up reasonably well against the Blackhawks–the Canucks aren’t as good as Chicago on the defensive end of the ice but when you’ve got Roberto Luongo between the pipes you can get away with that. On the offensive end of the ice, Vancouver has no shortage of swift skating, slick playmakers of their own including the Sedin brothers, Alex Burrows and Ryan Kessler. With all due respect to the Blackhawks, just can’t pass up a talented team with a strong home ice at a small underdog price. Canucks split two games in Chicago earlier this season when they weren’t playing as well as they are now, so i like them to put in a strong effort now that they’re playing good hockey.
