i dont think atlanta has what it takes to end their slide tonight. buffalo is a good home team. dominating the other team over a period of time doesnt always mean much. just look at NJ last night they were 12-1 against Chicago in the last 13 but got destroyed last night
atlanta is on a big time slide. however i think Buf is too heavily favored. no value to betting this one.

Can't pass up on the price atl is getting here at +170 (bodog)

These teams always come close, going past regulation in 6 of the last 10 games.

Atlanta has also won 6 straight against the Sabres, and they are just 2 points out of the top 8 in the Eastern conference.

I look for Atl to end the losing streak and start the year on a winning note.

If there's a bet here it's probably on Atlanta +170, because I think it's really tough to price a matchup between two completely different teams as these. Can't even predict how this plays out, but a high scoring game probably favors Atlanta.

I probably won't play this game, but I can't see much value on Buffalo lines. I would take Atlanta PL if I have to bet on this game.

thrash not really great at playing defensive hockey. i don't think we see these teams playing a 2-1 game.

I'm trying Buffalo team total over 3. The winning team will at least hit 4.

Thrash team total of 2.5 seems mighty fine too...4-2 or 4-3 score.

Thrashers were +130 or so at Buffalo early in the season, so you're at least getting a better price today. If you liked Thrashers back then, I guess you gotta like 'em even more at this price. Maybe Ryan Miller comes back down to earth against team like Thrashers. Atlanta won that game, 4-2.

Hell, think I may have just talked myself into a small bet on Thrashers.

Couple more notes on the game:

There has been 6 or more goals in 8 of the last 10 matchups and Atl has won the last 6 straight as the underdog.

Awesome feed back here fellas I'm lovin it! I do like alanta to snap a slump here and as SlapShot and Don stated the value is right. Am I a fool to think alanta wins this under 5 1/2 when the stats tell me other wise?

I would never talk you out of a bet Black but with the history these 2 teams have the under doesn't look like the best best to make. However, anything can happen.

I don't necessarily think there's value in Atlanta, just mentioned that price is cheaper. Same with OVER, actually. The way Miller's played all year, I can see why.

Probably couple of small bets for me on Thrashers +170/OVER 6 +110

I also like the team total of 2.5 goals, because even if ATL loses, they can score 3 goals. Should ATL even win, they won't get the game with just scoring 2 goals, so here the team total would be interesting as well.

But for me it's a no-bet, anyway. Just pointed out some possible play. Good luck for those who bet on this game.

altlanta sucks lately: so much so i didnt feel confident wagering on them. on the other hand miller is tough-especially at home but to lay 20 to make 10 is plain stupid in my book. i took "no goals in the 1st" @ 4.90. cha-ching after the first 20 min and i dont give a rip how it ends up @ hot sauce and blue cheese arena.

ha, just got home and saw score. Gotta be no team in NHL who's better at erasing 3-goal deficits/blowing 3-goal leads than Thrashers.

Must have been a real let down for people who picked Atl to win as the huge dog. I know it would really piss me off, I would be couniting the money after my team goes up 3 goals and then kicking myself when they just let it all get away from them.
kind of similar to what happened with Penguins at Buff a few nights ago

i hear. then figure in that it was a "bad break" kinda goal, (aka: chit goal) taking the weird bounce off the glass. ida been pulling my hair out had i taken atl.
lucky i got the no goal 1st in that game. i was gonna bet the under but figured it'd be better odds on the no goal 1st. thinking most good 'unders' start w/no scoring 1st periods. liked the 4.9:1-took it. it goes 0-0 1st and then the total goes over anyhow....

dont forget the thrashers 3rd period collapse when checking out tomorrows meeting with the isles.

Tough end to the game lastnight. 3 goal leads have shown to be nothing it seems in the last week or two. Alot of comebacks late to take the win.
The over came through though, so that's a bonus!

Winning night nonetheless, too bad it couldn't have finished a perfect one.
