Am I crazy to think that the Oilers has chance to beat the inconsistent devils tonight?? On this road trip, the devils lost to Carolina and Calgary , yet they beat the Sharks. May be they are just not up to it when playing a lowly team like edmonton ?? I do like the under tho. Gentleman, at +200, is it worth putting a small wager on the oilers and hope they will win 2 in a row??

That must be bookmaker's error. You are talking about regular time odds, right? Three way odds for Capitals have been between 1.5 and 1.65 all the time. Capitals -1.5 should be around 1,95 though. Does your bet still stand?

DAL vs WAS Over 1.5 (1st) (-139) Pinnacle $278 to win $200
I always love the first period overs in games with 6.5 totals. The first period over is 8-0 in Caps games with 6.5 totals this season. The Caps are still the top scoring 1st period team in the league and the Stars are a respectable 15th. The Stars have also given up the 5th most first period goals. Turco will start for Dallas and it appears as if Varlamov will go for the Caps.

6.5 is an intimidating number to bet on and I haven't yet this year but I am starting to realize that 6.5 totals usually always go over. The Caps are 8-0 for the over in games with 6.5 totals. The two teams are a combined 70-53 for the over this season and both teams love to play an offensive style game. The line opened at -115 and has moved all the way to -130 already which I have found is usually another good sign. Turco is really struggling for Dallas lately and the Caps should have some fun tonight.
