Baseball I know how to take numbers and turn it into what I feel the line should be.
NCAA hoops/ NFL same thing, I can take numbers and quantify a spread and total.
NHL I have no clue how a ml is established and what I should be looking at? I'm not the kind of bettor that simply watches games and figures out who to bet i need numbers!! lol. Therefore I've never bet hockey outside random blues game and playoffs where I feel I can always find a few series that gonna go the distance and bet accordingly!Comment -
NHL is only thing I'm consistently good at, NFL I hit good streaks
I watch a lot of hockey, got the NHL.tv package(great deal) I know all the players well, which helps
theres a lot of things I look at, mostly though based off how teams have been playing lately and goalie match ups
Idk it just clicks for me for some reason, having a great year so far, hoping to stay strong

Since I just started following I'm curious do you play many dogs or mostly favs? admittedly I dunno jack squat about betting this sport in regular season so no idea how often dogs cash? Just curious bout your philosophy. Appreciate that from what I've followed thus far you havnt really been playing the big favs, I can't stomach big juice, never really touch anything over -150 in bases and assume prob not wise to do so in this sport either!!
In playoffs I've always tried to identify what I think will be highly competitive Series then I chase the road dog for a win in 1st 2, if dog wins gm 1 I typically bet home team game 2 or simply pass depending, if they lose game 1 I go 1.5x on road dog in game 2. Then when venue shifts I continue with same strategy on opposite team. I find home ice doesn't typically become huge factor till games 5-6-7. For not really being big into the sport this has been pretty solid money maker for me over the years

I probably won't bet many favs over -150
At that point I start looking at the 3 way line or the PL
But on the other hand I probably won't bet dogs than are +180 or higher unless it's a puck line
Had a few early in the year with the Devils but books adjusted lines obviously now
