*****NHL Totals 123-94 Last Year*****

Good afternoon,

Last year was the first year I posted my NHL totals and was lucky enough to go 123-94 posting just totals. http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...otals-p16.html

That was then, and this year is a new season. Those that have followed in the MLB this year know that I make no promises other than I am an "old school" handicapper and I spend a lot of time trying to win. I will have three types of plays, Regular Play, Opinion Play and Angle Play. I will explain them later since I am pressed for time today. You can see the record for each if you click the link above and go to the last page.

It's early in the season, so if you follow, play accordingly.

Tuesday's Opinion Plays:

FL/TB over 5 -140
Car/Edm over +105

What would you say your average juice was per play last year? The reason I ask is because at that record -130 average is about break even

Well, it did not take long to "even out". The first game we get a goal with 5.5 seconds left to go over. In the second game they can't score one more goal in the final 16 minutes!

Yesterday:

Regular Plays: 0
Opinion Plays: 1-1

YTD:

Regular Plays: 0-0 + 0 units
Opinion Plays: 1-1 + 0 units

I'm surprised you even noticed that. I stopped watching games I bet on. The only games I watch are those for entertainment purposes. Hell, I've even caught myself watching games without even realizing that I bet on them.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I would explain my three different plays, so here goes:

Regular Play: These are the plays that I handicap looking at all the factors that I feel are important.

Opinion Play: This is a play that just missed the cut for being a Regular Play and/or it would have been a regular play but the juice is -140 or more.

Angle Play: Here is my explanation from last year:

I am normally not an "Angle" handicapper, however, tonight there is a very very strong angle (approx 90%) on 2 games tonight.
I had read about this 2 months ago and did not pay too much attention to it until I saw it again today online. Basically it is:
If either team OPENS at -200 or more and the total is 5.5, play the under.
Remember these are NOT official plays!!

Last year I only start posting them late in the season, but they went 5-2. My advice is to see how they are doing this year before playing them.

Tonight's Angle Play:

AZ/Mont under 5.5 -110

Back with other plays later

Interesting stuff. I'm not sure if it is possible to SDQL an opening line but here are the stats on home teams lines which closed at -200 or more with 5.5 totals:

2011 48.4% under
2012 65.4% under
2013 55.6% under
2014 54.5% under
2015 74.1% under

These are the monthly numbers, dating back to the beginning of the 2013 season:

Unders:
Oct 73.2% (36 games, not bad!)
Nov 55.9%
Dec 62.5%
Jan 57.6%
Feb 54.3%
Mar 55.1%
Apr 53.1%
May 100% (three games)

October is def. the month to play the under on that closing line.

I'll do the same for away team -200+ lines. Stay tuned.
