If this was accurate, he'd be by far the best player in the history of the NHL.

In fact, his percentage was 13% this season, which is good, but nothing earth-shattering.

Sidney Crosby was 13.9%. Semen (Semin, but I prefer his nickname) had 15.2%.

there are a dozen players you can argue that are a close 2nd. Crosby, Malkin, Datsyuk, Parise, Igilna, Nash, Carter, Spezza , Luongo just off the top of my head.

But Ovechkin has to be #1 IMO

        Go Canucks!

The thing with Carter is he is basically the ONLY star on the team. They are a blue collar bunch with a lot of heart and grit.

Me thinks if you put Carter on Detroit, Pittsburgh or Washington, you will judge him different. Same with Nash in Columbus.

              IMO

that is when he shoots. Shooting percentage is goals/number of shots.

Hossa's shooting percentage was 13% this season. 13% of his shots were goals.

He is great but a punk in real life, this Euros are just not marketable in USA

He better be careful in his private life speeding with high end cars or he will end up dead in an accident. He already had a few close calls and the team ain't happy.

He's not loudmouth, but colourful. His attitude off the ice is very positive, but I do agree that he is going to get absolutely rocked coming across the red or blue line and when he does he will be severely concussed.

Me tinks a Canadian kid will be the one who will deliver him an old fashioned bone crunching rock solid open ice hit which will mark the start of the down side of his career. Don't get me wrong.......I like Ovechkin, but he is not a complete player that Crosby is. Ovechkin can shoot the puck big time, but he also takes unnecessary runs at players which is going to come back and bite him on the ass.

                          KARMA!!!

wow 307 didnt realize was that high, and puck off u r right, he isnt as solid as crosby coming scorss that blue line, but crosby is timid coming across that blueline, as ovechkin dont care and most of the time gets a shot on net....i would choose ovechkin any day over crosby BUT in the long run, id take crosby, ovechkin might get crushed some day...

I'd love to see Brooks Orpik do it, in the same way Darius Kasparaitis
                                did to Eric Lindros.

I think that beast of a Canadian Scott Stevens sealed the deal when he tattooed Eric Lindros in the 99/00 playoffs.

Now that was a violent hit, but as always Lindros came across the blue line with his head down. Same thing is going to happen to Ovechkin one of these days.
