They are young so you think they would have more jump in them....
Flames just killed a pretty big penalty where it seemed like the hawks were gaining some motivation and speed. Kipper is playing very well and as we all know, Goaltenders can win games.

I think calgary's defenders will continue to allow more 2 line passes and Kipper will continue to have to fend off breakaways... If you noticed after that goal Chicago's passes were alot more crisper. Expect Quinne to pump them up.

That's what I'm hoping too and I actually didn't want the Flames to score in the last few minutes of the 3rd and of course I didn't want the Hawks to score either. Motivating the players is easiest in a young team when there's a purpose and if they were down a goal -- huge purpose.. up a goal -- even bigger purpose.. but a tied game makes it nerve-racking sitting in the locker room for 20 minutes. I expect them to come out tight with the veteran Flames playing as they usually do.

I know I have a biased opinion but Vets > Newbs in Game 1's that are tight.

True, but they do have a goalie that won the Stanley Cup, and the man in the net is an important position. I think the Hawks take this series... Took them at -150 for it.

this team still scares me we rolled em all year with 5 goals in like 3/4 games but in playoffs u never know when a goalie will become a wall like jsg few years back w his 200+ mins of shutout hockey

and now the Flames have opened it up again which they stopped doing after scoring their 2nd!!!!!! They began playing a 1-2-2... which you should never do when everything is going your way and you're putting heaps of pressure on. I know I'm just saying "shouldn't have done this rah rah rah" but I think it was a bad decision. You can't start doing that until the final 5 or 6 minutes at the earliest.. 15 minutes is too long to play so defensive minded as the opposition gets comfortable puttng the pressure on.

Oh well, it's a great game and I love this hockey!!
