Really not that surprising. Last real game they played at St. Louis (I say real game, since they played 4/27/13 but that was after the Hawks had already won the presidents cup and they didn't start everyone), St. Louis was a -115 favorite, although the Hawks went on to win the game 2-0. So they were favorites last time.
That said, I have St. Louis #2 in the west on my power rankings with the Hawks at #1. The Blues are a good club. The hawks also just lost at home to TB, who barely beat the Sabers today...
So, #2 verse #1 with #2 at home, I'd probably make them a favorite too.

STL has quietly become a deep squad with solid defence and the usual shut down goaltending they're known for. Hard to play against. Wouldn't be surprised if they Beat CHI tomorrow.

St Louis is probably the best team in the west now. Goaltending is the only
questionmark on the team this year. I don't know how people think that goaltending is actually a strength of theirs

Chicago will have to be at the Top of their game to beat St. Louis on their home rink . The Blues are big tough and defensive minded in a big way ! If Halak goes all's well he looks good , Elliott will want to be just as good as their is a big time competiton between the two . But as I see it , Kane , Toews and Hossa have to be rollin in high gear all game long to get the job done . They could be up for the challenge knowing the Blues are a top notch squad . I believe the Will2Win leans - Blues

Defense makes the goaltending look better than it is. Blues have looked good and this should be a great game.

Not sure if you're thinking that St Louis isn't a good team? But they have a pretty solid line, and one of the best d men in the league.

Will this be a tightly played, defensive kind of game making UNDER 5.5 the correct total play?

st louis is deeper at fw (deepest in the league) and has the best dcore in the league to go along with them。
if their goalies would stop sucking dick (elliott, realistically not going to happen) or stay healthy (halak, possible) they have the best team this season

Kevin, you obviously know nothing about hockey... LOL.
I do think Chicago gets the win, but the Blues are a top 5 team IMO.

Gotta agree with u there. The goalies on other teams could end up being average. But fantasy wise and on paper, their stats are above par for sure.
Going to make a double play on this game,
STL (ml)
and half that amount on the TIE. Thinking STL pulls this one off by a tight margin... 2-1.. Or 3-2... Very possibly in OT or SO

im thinking about going against everything and go with STL PL (+255).. big. too much love for defending champs and STL looking like a solid team so far. and o ya STL home ice, greater advantage at this point in the season than an others imo.
