Can't really go wrong betting any "overs" in Pens games.

1st period over 1.5 = 7-1
Pens over 3.5 TT = 7-1
Opponent over 2.5 TT = 5-3
Total over 5.5/6 = 5-3

Another good angle is to play the Pens team total in the 1st and 2nd, along with either the 1st or 2nd ML or spread (-0.5).

Pens have only allowed 7 goals against in the 1st period

The logic behind this play lies in a trend that has stayed consistent throughout the entire season this year, including the playoffs so far. During the regular

season, the Pens topped the charts for first period goals. Accordingly, they have done exactly the same for the 1st period in the playoffs. So far, the Penguins

have scored 12 goals in the first period, only allowing 7. This puts them 4 goals ahead of the team with the second most first period goals (Detroit).
The Pens do this by coming out hot, every game. They are incredibly talented at doing this, and I think that it’s a trend that can be relied on. Regardless of whether or not we see an improvement by Anderson this game, I don’t think it will be enough to stop the Pens in the first period. They have been, and will continue to be the best first period team in the league, and currently sit with seven more goals than Ottawa, which proves a substantial imbalance between these teams in this specific period.During the regular season, the Pens topped the charts in both the 1st and 3rd periods, and typically allowed several goals in the second. They have changed the way they are playing for the playoffs, and it is evident that it’s working. Instead of playing all out in the 1st and 3rd, the Pens are now goal-machines in the 1st and 2nd, and then they buckle down defensively in the 3rd. The Pens have the most first and second period goals, and so far they have the best goal-goals against ratio in the second, and as previously stated, a fantastic ratio in the first.The Senators have had trouble scoring in almost every period outside of the third, and the majority of these goals came from the boxing match between them and the Canadians. Honestly, it’s clear that the Sens are not a goal-scoring team, and with the Penguins playing the way they’re playing, they will be extremely hard pressed to out-perform the Pens in both the first and second period. Go with the best team in the league when it comes to goals in the first and second period here.The reason I have two plays here is that I would be shocked to see the Pens not take at least one of these periods and at plus-money as good as it is here, I can’t pass it up. If Lehner starts next game I might reconsider things. I think he's better than Anderson.

Or will it even matter?

I'm hoping for a longer series.

The Sens only had 4 home games finish above 5.5 goals this season (reg. + PO), and two of them were one-sided wins over the Canadiens (the other two were wins over poor defensive teams - TB + BUF). I wonder how the line will look.

I really don't think either team has played poorly tonight. Not many great chances, but where there are, some great goaltending. Solid pressure, solid defense, solid goaltending. Playoff hockey

The Sens have to go with Lehner next game, no? That could make things interesting; Lehner is one of those Gs that just has such a dominant presence in the net. It could shift the confidence of the whole team. Not that I think the Sens will win, but I do think it's time to pass the baton to Lehner and see what he's got.

Anderson hasn't had a good series overall. Nothing to lose at this point so i'd start the kid. He's probably the best young goalie in the league.
