Good luck to ya! If ya take 1st place are ya taking the bike or cash? IMO, take the $, Harley Davidson is hurting for business right now, and you can get alot more for your $ with a used bike right now.

I know this from experience, I own 2 bikes, and a ton of the stock I got from the IPO when HDI went public back in the 80s.

The guy doing my picking seems cool as a cucumber. He does this stuff for a living. He laughs at how nervous I am.

We aren't taking anything for granted but we have discussed this a bit. I think we would take the bike and sell it.

But if that actually became a reality there would be a lot of questions and we would both start asking around for a lot of answers. Hopefully you would be around for some information.

Probably the first thing I would do would be walk into the closest Harley dealership and see what they say.

But there's a long way to go. It would have helped if the Giants coach had been smart and played for the last second field goal yesterday. Our Best Bet, the Bears, would have covered and we would be 10 points clear of the field right now. Instead he took the quick touchdown which gave the Bears a chance to come back and win, which they didn't, so the Giants covered the spread. It doesn't make any sense to me that he did that. That's the kind of thing that is so hard on the nerves.

Tomcast you are doing a good job. I am not even in the top 400 i'm sure but are cheering you on with your picks and maybe I will do better next yr. I didn't start till halfway through the season so was way behind but GL the rest of the way.

I just hope I can stay up there with TC and the rest and cash in by the end, but lots of good handicappers are bearing down from behind waiting for a good week to happen.

Four weeks is still a long time to go, and the 17th week in the NFL might just be a guessing game.

Keep it up and finish strong everyone, anyone with 5 or more points still has a chance to cash.

tomcast if you are that nervous just start hedging your best bets.
example:
take team a as best bet on beat the prick
take team b for $500 at your favorite book

then even if you lose all 4 of your best bets, possibly knocking you down the list, you've made 2k on the side and still probably have a decent prize.
and if you win all 4 then you almost certainly have the bike, but lost the 2k on the side of course.

LOL. True tom. I doubt my luck will hold out, and if I am still in the top 15 by season's end, I will consider myself quite fortunate.

I am looking for Doc and Pokernut to finish strong in the final weeks.

I am sure the guy who picks for you really knows what he is doing. I just do this for fun and as a hobby. If I had to do this as a living, I would have a bleeding ulcer and have suffered several nervous brakedowns by now.
