    Question for BTP administrators
It says in the rules that picks have to be posted "no later than 11:00 a.m. (ET) each Saturday."

So does that mean that the time on my post must show as 10:59 or sooner, or is it okay if the time on my post shows as 11:00 (which means I could actually post up until 11:00:59?)

I was advised to post my picks at the last second so thats why it makes a difference.

You really want to take this risk of not getting it in? I think you would be safe putting it in at 10:58.

I think I have found the answer to my question looking at previous weeks. Picks timestamped as 11:00 have been okay.

            I wouldn't mind a confirmation though.

fwiw the point of the question is not about people copying. Its about people close in the season standings strategically fading the picks. I hope some people have copied and mad emoney from these picks. They have all been posted well ahead of gametime.

The picks need to be submitted by 11:00:59 AM Eastern, based on SBR server time, which may deviate substantially from that reported by other sources. As such it's probably in your best interest not to wait until the last possible moment to make your picks.

Note that what matters is submission time and not forum post time. If the software accepts your picks then they're considered valid regardless of the time of the associated Prick Bot post.

I agree with swifty it sounds like he does'nt want anyone copying his picks. But if you play close attention to the games people in the contest have picked you'll notice most of them have their picks in way early in the week so I think it would'nt really matter about the contest. But the way tomcast is picking he might be catching some slack. He's been hitting his 4 picks like fricking crazy. If you were in Vegas playing his 4 picks as a parlay and straight betting them at a thou. a piece what would your bankroll look like at this moment? You guys out there do the math. I know one thing you'd be sitting pretty friggin' good . One thing for sure and two things for certain. Tomcast is a great capper' and he's probably not to popular with the nations bookies or offshore gaming companies.

tomcast why do you put them in last for. if you already know what you taking. all pro games. But good luck.

everyone will do a parlay on your bets now I going with $50.00 parlay. not sure if I win I never win on a parlay. that is good news for everyone I never win.

How about stopping the player picks from being published until the deadline passes unless the player wants them to be posted with a "do not hide picks" button. I am sure the players at the top of the season standings will just post their picks later and later as the season progresses anyway.

Good idea , next 2 weeks we only have 10 choices to pick from.

That is true. This will be interesting to see how many posts will be required to win the $100 prize with so few picks available. I am sure there will be a lot of overlapping entries with the NCAA football season ending and a few weeks until the bowls go into full swing. How about throwing in a few choice Saturday and Sunday NCAA or NBA basketball games as substitute pick fillers?

4 weeks left, with the pick choices dwindling, it is going to be a tough time to stay in the hunt. GL to all.

If the BTP administrators want to have a good consensus pick poll, post the pick counts, but don't reveal who is making the picks (unless the poster wants the picks to be revealed). Otherwise, players who are in the season ending points race will not make picks till the last minute to avoid others from fading or using their picks, particularly their best bet pick.

It will be a fun run.

                              ---

btw.....any chance the $100 from BTP can be used at the sponsoring sports book? I closed out at my other books awhile back, but I'd play around with $100 for fun if it was easy.

tomcast Look at the top 30 players and see if they already picks, I don't know why you have to wait undtli 11am to pick your teams. Is sbr paying you on the side?? for not get your picks in. tell us why you can't.... to me if someone copy your picks they can not catch you anyway. I play my game and do not copy anyone. If I was up there I would pick my team on thursday or friday or sooner

Just a straight check, lax. The contest isn't sponsored by a book like it was in the past.

I have been following top 10 players alot this yr on Best Bets and have made some cash with them. I turn in my own picks through out the yr but bet with the others picks. So tomcast I'm not copying you but making money off of your picks so keep doing a wonderful job and let's make more money and you can enjoy your season ending prize and mine will be extra christmas presents for the kids. Thank You and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
