    Converting Malay Odds to US, Decimal, or Fractional...
    Can someone provide a formula for directly converting Malay odds to US, fractional, or decimal? I know there are converters out there, but I would like to know the mathematics for myself. Thanks in advance. --

    Also, while I'm at it, does anyone know of a good book that lists all of the betting odds conversion formulas one could ever want to know?

      US odds is simply -1/Malay odds. One you have USA odds, the others are simple.

        So if Malay is 0.50:

        US odds = -1/.50 = -200
        Decimal = 1.00 + 1.00/2.00 = 1.50
        Fraction = 1/2

        If Malay is -0.75:

        US odds = -1/-0.75 = +133
        Decimal = 1.00 + 1.33 = 2.33
        Fraction = 133/100

            He said he was aware there are converters out there but asked for the mathematical formula.

              Also, while I'm at it, what is the formula for Indonesian to Decimal, US, or Fractional?

                Indonesian is exactly the same as USA, you just take away the decimal. So -1.50 Indo = -150 USA, 1.75 Indo = +175 USA

                  And for good measure, Hong Kong? (This will be the last, I promise). --

                    If HK > 1.00, it is same as Indo. If HK < 1.00, it is same as Malay.
