    LVSC Openers
Does anyone know where to get these now? Vegasinsider used to carry them, but it is sort of hit or miss any more.

    Thanks

You don't see LVSC openers because that company was bought by Cantor Gaming, and I think their expertise is now the property of Cantor Gaming (owner of the M and many other sports books). Their lines and information are not sold to odds platforms. That was the company owned by Michael Roxborough or something like that. Most Las Vegas sports books bought their opening numbers, and so that is why you would see them all over. As I stated, their expertise and their huge database are now the proprietary property of Cantor Gaming, and they do not sell their lines, so say goodbye to Las Vegas Sports Consultants. Hope this helps.

3/4 of the above comments are wrong. LVSC does still provide lines to their subscribers and I believe there are odds platforms that do offer them to paying clients.

They are a great tool in my handicapping.

For the poster who created this thread, are there any specific lines for this weekends games your looking for?

I didn't say they don't make odds. I said their odds and enormous database was bought by Cantor Gaming, and Cantor Gaming uses them to help set their own odds. Kenny White, who was one of the co-owners after Roxy sold out, just quit himself after selling out. I don't know any Las Vegas casino and sportsbook to whom they are sold to these days. If you do, let me know. I'll give you an SBR point for every one I screwed up on and issue an apology to each poster above. I believe the Nevada GCB issued quite naturally that it would be a "conflict of interest," because prior to their being bought out they were INDEPENDENT oddsmakers providing INDEPENDENT opening odds for all the casinos. Now they are owned by CANTOR GAMING, AND THE HILTON AND THE OTHERS DO NOT MAKE IT A PRACTICE OF BUYING ODDS FROM THEIR RIVAL CASINOS. Christ Almighty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting that so many seem to require these odds specifically. Surely Pinny's openers are nothing but the same odds with a slightly later adjustment which according to the sharps is a more reliable line.

Actionbrett, how are these a great tool? I always start my planning by comparing the opening line to the percieved stat line, sensible enough but hardly great. Hard to see what else can be gleaned other than this lean through significant numbers

Thanks for the info. I called them on the phone and they told me they no longer have a contract w vegasinsider so they aren't on that site, which was the only place I knew of to see the opener specifically. Thanks for the info guys.

I have it on good authority that BW, Roxy, and the Geezer Bandit are all the same guy.

It doesn't become funny with repetition.

I'll flip you for your net worth, given the unlikely condition it is a positive number.
